Person who talked to us (Chris Peterson, the phone number he gave us to reach him is 800=533-5125 ext. 118) led us to believe we were obtaining medical/dental/vision insurance for my husband.

When on phone with Chris and asking him specific questions about deductibles and copays for Dr. visits etc. He had all the right answers to satisfy us.

I tried to contact Chris a couple of times after that, he had told me that was a direct extension to him, but he was supposedly never there and the person who answered the phone could assist me as they were customer service and had already pulled up all the information on the computer.  I had questions about the amounts that were in the first email received because the didnt match with stuff I had written down,  but they were able to explain that to me.

We got information on the dental the next day  as we were able to come up with $49.95 right away as was put on a credit card.

The first email I received was from some place called principal advantage. on Oct 11.

This email  stated that 281 was to be withdrawn from our bank account on the 23rd of Oct. which doesnt show on bank transactions yet (I realize that was just yesterday). I intend to  call the bank right away in the morning and see if I can possibly get that stopped.

It also he stated dates insurance would be effective and when/what amount to be withdrawn. I could forward this email to you.

The next email we got was today telling a website we could go to, to check coverage and print documents.

These documents are for life insurance, accident insurance.  Nothinng about health insurance which is what my husband needs coverage for. I can forward thiis to you also.

The email today stated it is from hiiquote.com.  And now I think I may have accidently deleted it, but I did print it.  The email state a copy of this letter was also sent to info@nationwidehealthadvisors.com et when I looked for a website, I could not find one.

We appreciate any assistance.   Thank You.

Refund

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, December 10, 2016

I have yet to receive a refund of the initial 49.00 that was charged to my credit card account . My credit card statement shows payment to HII, (Health Insurance Innovations) on Oct 12, 2016. On Nov. 4, I was told by HII that they tried to refund the amount back to my credit card account, but credit card company wouldn't accept it. So they stated they had mailed a check to me on Oct 26 and I should receive it in no more than 14 business days. I have since called them on Nov. 28 and again on Dec 5. Both times I was told pretty much the same thing...check is in the mail and should receive in 14 business days. The last phone call I talked with a person named Wanda and she said if I don't receive the check in the 14 days, I should phone the following number: 877-376-5831, Which is the number of Health Insurance Innovations "Billing & Non-Claims Related Questions" number. This happens to be the same number I have been phoning each time I called. Fourteen working days to call them back is either the 22nd or 23rd of Dec., depending if you count the last day that I talked with them on the phone or not. (Dec. 5). So this is where I have gotten with them. As for their statement regarding the insurance, etc. , it was their employee Chris that led us to believe the ins. was what we were looking for. (As I stated the first time I contacted you) I have received all of the other amounts paid to them, they deposited it into my checking account, which is the account they received it from. Thank You. Michael Melvin, Iowa

Response: HII is not Nationwide Health Advisors

AUTHOR: Health Insurance Innovations - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 29, 2016

Health Insurance Innovations - or HII - is not Nationwide Health Advisors. We are a billing and technology resource for consumers after coverage is purchased. We send communications to consumers about coverage purchased from agents as well as help consumers address billing concerns and manage their member portal access so they can review their insurance documents.

Nationwide Health Advisors is the agency that sells insurance products. We manage the online platform through which agents market products from insurance carriers, but agents do not work for or represent HII. If coverage was purchased through Nationwide Health Advisors and the consumer wants to make changes or has concerns about what type of products were purchased, that is a concern best directed to the agency.
