Natural Cures - Kevin Trudeau Incorrect billing and refunds ripoff Beverly Massachusetts

Last Spring I ordered two free books from Kevin Trudeau, agreeing to pay for postage and handling. This came to CDN$35.98, a little excessive, but not something to quibble over. When the shipment arrived, it also contained a lot of offers for a newsletter, lifestyle rewards, and other offers, all with a negative billing format. If you didn't want the offered product, you had to inform them or they would automatically bill your credit card every month.

I then phoned two of the numbers and told them I didn't want ANY of the products, including the newsletter, and do not charge anything to my credit card. The gentleman assured me that he would look after the matter and there would be no charges forthcoming.

Unfortunately, my June and July Mastercard showed charges of US$5.95 per month, and probably August would be the same. I tried to phone the customer services number (it's long distance), was put on hold for 15 minutes.

I gave up phoning and tried the internet. The website they referred to in their letter did not register or respond. I then Googled "Natural Cures Inc." and got lots of options. I clicked on their website and found out why my email hadn't gone through. You have to put 'billing' or 'cancel' before natural cures.

I sent a brief email explaining my problem, asked for a refund of the $5.95 charges, and, lo and behold, I got a reply email within about 15 minutes saying they had made an error and that they would issue a credit to my Mastercard account, but it would take about 30 days for it to show up on my statement. I wait in anticipation to see if they are as good as their word.

Should the refund not show up, I will be extremely disappointed and would then look for satisfaction through the media, the television station that broadcasts their infomercial, and the credit card company. Small debts court is another option if all else fails. Hopefully, none of this will be necessary !!!
