Navi Technology Group, 18/F Philamlife Tower, 8767 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City Metro. Manila 1226, Philippines; markets worldwide Counterfeit Garmin Nuvi GPS units via the Internet.

The company lists a telephone number on their website as "Toll free phone: 1-800-1-1161012," but all you get is a recorded message that advises the consumer to contact them on thier website and says you will receive a reply within 24-hours. No one ever contacts you.

Their website also states "Last Day for Free Shipping!" They offer no free shipping.  Navi Technology Group has no inventory as their website suggests. They use a 3rd party seller in Los Angeles which ships your order via USPS (United States Postal Service).

I ordered a new Garmin 3790. I received a used item with out-of-date maps. The item would not hold a charge. Luckily I paid via PayPal and was about to resolve the problem and receive a refund, however; my refund took 6 weeks and surely was not worth the hassle and aggravation.

Has anyone else on the forum had a bad experience with Navi Technology trading as GPS-RSA.com alledegedly based in Cape Town.

Beware that this company (GPS RSA or NAVI TECHNOLOGY GROUP Garmin Wholesaler / Dealer) as it does not supply the goods as advertise on their web site. You can buy the goods cheaper in South Africa if you support the guys on this forum. Once you lodge a complaint and do not accept there stalling tactics and nonsense, they stop answering your emails or phone calls.
They make out that they are based in Cape Town South Africa but the GPS are supplied from the USA. You only find this out once you commit to proceed with the order and it changes from Rands to US Dollar. The payment went off my credit card as a foreign payment.
When the GPS arrived the unit did not have the latest TOPO Garmap loaded as advertised. It had 2011 loaded and I bought my unit in July 2012 so it should have had the TOPO 2012 loaded. To make matters worse it had the whole of Gauteng missing. When I queried this with them I was told this area has yet to be mapped (absolute rubbish). I then asked for them to pay for the software value R 1299.00 and to send me the access codes but this never happened. They then offered to send me another map, but that is not what I ordered.
I have since discovered (and have proof) that other people have been supplied the same faulty maps and have not had the matter resolved. They no no longer reply to my emails or phone calls and it does not pay me to return the goods as they charge a handling fee which is more than the value of the map.
I am now trying to get VISA to get me a refund for the software.
