Let me tell you first and formost, Do Not Use your bank card to make a Long distance phone calls on a pay phone.......find a way to make change and use coins.

I needed to use a pay phone outside a walmart in vancouver, WA, USA to make a call to my son to pull around and pick me up.(my cell battery was dead) I didn't have the 1.00 for 4 minutes , so I put in my bank card thinking I would be charged 1.00. I was on the phone for less than 60 seconds. When I got home, I checked my online statement and realized that they charged me 15.00. I called my bank and told them what happened and they disputed the charges and put my 15.00 back into my account. The next day I checked my account again, and realized that they charged me an additional 5.87, so i called my bank and had that one removed and disputed as well.

At the pay phone, there are no notices that say you will be charged outrageously for this call..............It simply says 1.00 for 4 minutes. Also when placing the call, an automated message says to insert 1.00 for 4 minutes, or slide your card to place call. My son's cell phone is a long distance number because he lives right over the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon............less that 4 miles away.

I will not contact this company, I will have my bank investigate. And then I am going to report them to everyone that I can. This is a big time rip off. Also, I have used this method of payment before on a pay phone in Maui, Hawaii and never had this problem, I was charged a one time 1.00 fee, so I know something is going on with this company. They are making their money off people who don't check, or simply brush it aside......bull crap, not me

A quick call to our customer service department would have allowed our customer service department to explain that the $15 hold on your account is done for validation purposes only and is always returned when we get the charge to your bank to post on your statement. You bank did not credit the $15, we did.

The actual price of the call was the $5.87.
