)n 2/11/05 I ordered a / or what I thought to be brand new Toshiba -DVD/VCR Combo/ model SDV391 & a B&D mini processor= they arrived in a messed up - box most of the foam was gone = looked into products to see if ok; a paper inside the dvd/vcr showed it was a refurbished product : BY : Refurbished Products Service Center Santa Fe Springs,Ca. 90670 : I sent them an email conplaining about this an they sent back that it showed that it was refurbished / not 1 thing showed it was like that - they still argue it was?? I own Golden 9 Sales( DBA) and www.golden9sales.org / Reseller Tax Id # / so can buy
whoesale and was trying to get the cheapest price for a customer of mine = if I had of known it was refurb - would never have ordered it?? they can't under stand that and on there site it says " customer is # 1 / WRONG ??
I contacted fedex about the damaged box and products with very little foam & both boxs bent/ they said to file a claim = no problem - except that the driver should have been more responsable for the merchandice they delivered??

What's this?
I went to netdropshipper.com and found the item you are referring to. It is sort of conflicting. If you look at the long description, at the very bottome it says "open box item. Then when I checked the FAQ, this is what it said

Customers return products for many reasons: a customer may change his or her mind, not like the product, or have difficulty operating it. Whether it is returned a month later or only the very next day, such an item must be identified as reconditioned or refurbished to be resold.

As the name implies, this refers to a product that someone bought but merely "opened the box
then under another question it says

By law, product packaging must state if an item is factory-reconditioned.
Packaging and terminology differs slightly with each retailer.
Some items will arrive in a regular retail box with a sticker indicating that it's reconditioned, refurbished, or factory serviced. Some items come repackaged in a plain brown or white box.
Enclosed manuals may refer to accessories (camera cases, straps, for example.) that are not included with the reconditioned product.
