New Sun Energies is owned by Maverick contracting that use to be Epcon Solar run by Pablo Curiel.  Maverick contrating changed their name from Epcon Solar to escape their horrible reputation.  Pablo Curiel was ordered by the Attorney General Office to pay a 40,000 dollar fine for call center Fraud and falsy claiming the benefit of their roof top solar.  These practces are now being practced with New Sun Energies.  The call center is currently telling people they are selling 100 percent federaly funded solar which is a lie.  The federal taz credt only covers 30 percent.  Accorfng to the Better Business in 2015 New Sun Energes only made 70,000 dollars but stll managed to have 2 complaints for faulty solar panels.  Wether you plan to work for New Sun Energies or buy solar from them stay clear from the corrupton.  When I was hired by new sun energes I was told there would be a 400 dollar draw a week for me and the reps that work under me.  After I started they said there was no draw for sales reps.  They were also trainng thee reps to tell customers ther was no money out of pocket for going solar which s a lie. They Also traned us to tell homeowners that rooftop solar increases ther homes value by twice the cost of the solar System whch is a lie.  New Sun Energes s not to be trusted

Regarding the allegations against our company

AUTHOR: William - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 21, 2016

To Whom It May Concern,

New Sun Energies does not engage in deceptive business practices, we pride ourselves on our transparency.

- We do not claim that residential solar systems are one hundred percent funded by a Federal tax credit. Currently the tax credit is 30% and that is what we present to the homeowners.

- We are unsure how the complainant arrived at the figure of seventy thousand dollars profit for fiscal year 2015 but regardless fail to see the relevance of that statement.

- The residential (and commercial) systems that we sell have a 25 year warranty. We pride outselves on providing the best equipment In the industry, and have done over 1200 installs for happy clients.

- As far as employment goes, we do not discuss payroll outside of business operations, however we pride ourselves on paying our representatives a competitive commission and healthy bonus structure compared to the rest of the industry.

- We do not claim that adding a solar system to a home will increase its value by twice the cost of said system, however there is a substantial added value to a home with solar. According to a Berkeley Labs study commissioned by the Department of Energy and updated in 2015 the nationwide realty value increase compared to similar homes without solar was $4.00 per watt installed. We reflect this nationwide average in every proposal we present.

Furthermore, New Sun Energies does employ third party marketing companies in addition to our own appointment setters. We provide the preferred script to these marketing companies for them to use while setting appointments. Occasionally their appointment setters may provide incorrect information to the client. Whenever this occurs we address it with the manager of the third party marketing company. We strive to be completely honest with the information we present to potential clients as well as make sure we set reasonable expectations about what a homeowner can expect in terms of value and savings by adding solar to their home.

It appears that this complaint was filed by a former employee, we encourage that employee to reach out to us and address his concerns directly. New Sun Energies is constantly striving to make our process better and all constructive criticism is valued.

It is our goal as a company to provide the best possible solar systems to our clients, compensate our employees well for their hard work, and provide environmental benefits to all by encouraging the use of renewable energy.

Sincerely,

William F Gaskins

State Sales Director, Texas Region

I retract what I said about New Sun Energies My information I included was from a non credible source. New Sun Energies is a well established and honest and well run company. I left for my own reasons and had nothing to do with how they operate
