This company is also not passing off 100% of the owner operator fuel surcharge .

 The trucking company is to pay for the liability insurance , and cargo. The company need to pay for their drug screen pulling the MVR, and door signs. $2500 security deposit and $2500 escro is the same thing! If it smells like a rat and looks like a rat, it most likely is a rat! I'm not going to pay their expenses and my pay not in the contract! Stay away from them, not a honest company!

Thank you for your opinion but it seems as if a few facts were not either understood or relayed correctly.

The insurance charged to an owner operator is not only for cargo but for liability, cargo, interchange and occ/acc. of which is an industry standard for an owner operator to be responsible for these cost, since he/she is, in fact, independent.

The cost for a new hire (drug screen, signs, MVR and background) are, indeed, passed on to a new hire. These costs are real costs. By requesting that applicants be responsible for these cost, we are able to reduce false prospects and put our effort into helping serious candidates to complete the process.

As to the $2500 security deposit, that information is incorrect. We also ask our owner operators for an $2500 escrow, which is accrued over 50 weeks and refundable upon termination of the contract (as long as no money is owed), which is also industry standard.

Nordic Logistics has an outstanding reputation among the trucking community. We have always been honest and upfront with all owner operators as far as pay, costs and expectations.
