My complaint seems to be as SEVERAL other predicessors. I bought a 2008 Gibson model a/c in January of 2009 to battle nothing but trouble. Trouble came from all directions except my service man, a local boy who tried tirelessly to overcome his distributors' / manufacturers' short falls. Unfortunately, that was not enough to keep my a/c unit working. I experienced: motor burnout, faulty coils, twisted refrigerant, and of course the freon leaks, only to be told there would be no recompense.
After calling Nordyne's customer service line and being transferred to 3 different front line gustopo ...I finally got to Bob. I was told Bob is a busy man who has several calls to return daily. No more need to be said. He is busy due to the inefficiencies of the entire business he's involved with. Bob offered very little help as well. The same generic words were spoken: we are only responsible for the parts, no labor, no freon, no new units... You be the judge. Do you want to replace crap with more crap?
This company is history. Take a good look at NORDYNE'S history, people, products.etc... They all line up to have SUBSTANDARD EQUALITIES.
This product is junk and their warranty too. THINK: G.I.G.O... garbage in garbage out = one big junk pile. So, as far as this company considering going green they can't because they are continually filling our trash piles with corporate JUNK!
With all of these comments together, we speak volumes in scorned honesty. Take it from the people who have taken time to write these summaries. NORDYNE is giving American made products a horrible name: they make - you got it ... J U N K !
