Northern Trust/David Moore Claimed I had won a drawing that wal-mart had entered me in. Chicago Illinois

These people are using  Northern Trust company letter head which is a legitiment company in chicago, however the phone number 416-451-3256 is a onterio, canada number, they sent my mother a letter stating they were pleased to inform her that she was one of the winners in the North America Consumer Promotion Draw organized for all customers of Wal-mart, sears, Home Depot, Safeway etc.her winnings were $8,221.50 and would be delivered to her by courier company FedEx or UPS and she needed to contact her claim agent: David Moore at 800-252-9044 or 416-451-3256, they even included a real looking check for $822.15 to help pay the taxes, how nice. When contacting David Moore he said she needed to take the check to the back and cash it then call him back so he could give her instructions where to send the money to. I did not go to the bank to cash check but told them I had when I called they imediatley checked to see if the check had cleared, said they did not show check had cleared yet for me to call back tomorrow or monday it may take a day or two for check to clear. These people are preying on elderly people on fixed incomes how low can they get taking their money and some of them would not have enough to live on for the rest of the month.
