They attempt to collect on debts that have either been written off in Bankrunpcty since 1999 or have passed states collection staue of limitations. They call attempting to get current information on you without identifing themselves. There is no outstanding debt on my credit report and the accounts they are trying to collect on were written off well over 12 years ago. Very vultralistic collections attempts-It makes no sense for anyone to pay these people since it makes no impact on your credit score or reports. I recieve letters or phone calls about every 3 months and tell them there is no debt, or they can no longer collect on this account. They usually hang up. I know they do not have a leg to stand on but nevertheless the calls and letters are annoying. Do not pay these people if your sitution is similar to mine. Even if it isn't I still wouldn't pay them because there is no gaurantee that paying will help you.
