The wrecker driver was asked by my husband to take the car to our home, but the driver advised him it would be better to have the car taken to Northwest Collision.  We were not familiar with the shop but because of the situation that we were in my husband agreed and the car was taken to the shop.

My husband was advised to sign a form to have the adjuster to look at the car at a later date.  He was advised that in order to start repairs he would be required to sign the document if the Farmers adjuster approved to have the car worked on.

On 08/13/2014, the adjuster came out to the shop inspected the damage to our vehicle and agreed to have the repairs done.  We immediately called the body shop that day and spoke with Diana who advised my husband that she would have “her guy” immediately start working on the car.

We received a rental car through our insurance, we were told that the repairs may take up to 30 days for repair and we would have our car back by the second week in September.

Our insurance company sent the body shop for $6000.00 to begin repairs on the vehicle.

I called on August 20 to check on the status of the car and was advised by Diana, that the car was being worked on an that the quarter panel had been cut out to be fitted on my vehicle and that her guy was working on the car.

A few more days had passed in that time so I called the shop again and I was told that they had ordered a window and were waiting for the part.  But I was advised that the car was still being worked on.

On August 30th , I went to the shop to check on my car and found that no work had ever been started on my car and found out that two weeks earlier from the new owner the shop had been sold and that he was now in charge.  He apologized profusely and stated that he would have his new workers immediately work on the vehicle.  I advised him that I had been calling for weeks for status reports on the car and was told that the car had been worked on. He continued to apologize to me and Diana even stated that because of the new ownership change that no work had been done.  I asked her why she had not been honest with me in the first place and she had no answer.  We asked them about the funds that were sent to them by Farmers to begin work on the car.  No one could confirm where the funds were and had no idea where the supposed parts were to repair my vehicle.  My insurance adjuster contacted the body shop and asked why had no work been done on the vehicle.  Diana again manipulated the issue and advised that the shop would work on the issue and start work on the car.

She then stated that she would work on the issue.

On 09/10/2014 our rental car had to be returned to Enterprise, since no work had been done on my car, the shop agreed to rent a car for us.  We were then advised that it would take a week to work on the car and we would have our car back.

After about a week we were told by our by the shop that a new adjuster was called for “additional issues” needs that were found.  At that point on Wednesday, September 17th, we were told by the insurance company that our car was now a total loss due to the first inspector not finding the additional damage.

The body shop immediately became hostile and demanded that the rental car be returned.  We asked them about the $6000.00 check that had been cashed, since no parts were ever produced to us, we wanted to know would they return that money to Farmers.  Justin who is the owners translator stated that he did not know where the money was and they we needed to pay additional $7,000 for the 43 days that my car sat at the shop and work that was done on the car.

There was never any work ever done on the car other than to remove the back left door and take out the seat in the back of the car.  There were never any parts found that they were able to show the second adjuster.

Farmers had already paid Northwest Collision $6,000.00 that they were not able to reproduce.  They stated that the original owner had the check and they would have to go after him to get the money back.  Now they refuse to release my car for the actual amount of storage fees that were $35.00 per day.  Each day I am being charged fees and no one at Northwest Collision is willing to do the right thing.

They have done this to other customers turns out and they have also held other parties car hostage until large amounts of fees are paid.
