I have owned many businesses in my time, and seen many businesses, both good and bad. As I write this, I can honestly say Norvergence is the most dreadful, deciteful, unfriendly, incapable example of American capitalizm. They are based on lies, intimidation & fraud. After reviewing legal documents from the FCC, I realize Tom Salzano (who has to remain bhind the scenes) is the same person who the FCC jailed for 8 months, and stated he could never work in the telecom business again. SO...he gets his brother Peter as the front man and they're back at it.

DO YOURSELF AND COMAPNY A FAVOR, STAY AWAY FROM NORVERGENCE!!! As sure as I'm sitting here, YOU WILL REGRET IT. I'm far from the only one of this opinion!!! DO THE RESEARCH!!

In closing, I've NEVER seen such a greasy, cheap, monotoned, class-less set of sales people than what is mass-produced at Norvergence. They go under the name "Screening Managers" as an attempt to add integrity to what they are doing!! PLEASE!!!!!

They try to hawk a box that literally DOES NOTHING! They expect you to lease it for 5 years. ABSURD!! BEWARE!!

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

More about Norvergence ..Norvergence will retaliate towards employees who try to investigate being shortchanged on commission

AUTHOR: Stuart - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 03, 2004

In rebuttal to Patricia:

(1) Norvergence has proven itself to be deceitful,
fraudulent and lying. To date there are over 30
original reports highly unfavorable against
Norvergence not counting all the secondary reports
of which a great majority are unfavorable towards
Norvegence as well on this website from customers,
employees and ex-employees to which I can add on
unfavorable reports from other websites.

(2) Patricia says Norvergence isn't a company based on intimidation. Evidence abounds to the contrary. Norvergence will retaliate towards employees who try to investigate being shortchanged on commission. Norvergence tries to get posted unfavorable reports removed from websites (e.g check out these sites:
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,8369950~root=cellphones~mode=flat
http://www.mailarchive.ca/lists/comp.dcom.telecom/2003-12/0296.html
http://www.newsgroops.org/group/comp.dcom.telecom/article-301167.html)

(3) It's bad enough getting fined, but how often
do business people get jailed by the FCC?

(4) The bottom line here is that Norvergence is
defrauding businesses which is costing businesses
thousands of dollars apiece in various ways which
Norvergence is trying to duck their responsibility
for and leaving businesses stuck with an irrevocable five-year lease along with worthless service/equipment. In regards to paying their employees Norvergence doesn't care if you show up
on time or not because they'll screw you anyways
out of what you signed up for (that reminds me
Patricia of Human Resources, you put on your
public relations hat in doing this rebuttal. Since
it's not a human resources issue, does this mean
Tom or should I say Peter would have to dock over
half your pay?)

Your posting has done nothing to help decision makers form educated opinions regarding whether they should sign on with Norvergence.

Norvergence is not a company based on lies, intimidation and fraud. Our company is based on patent-pending technology that locks in a rate of zero-cents per minute on local and long distance calls, and provides unlimited Internet, unlimited cellular and unlimited 800 calling. It also offers the highest level of network security available.

Norvergence is not run by one person we are a team of individuals who are working to provide this cost benefit to growing companies. Thomas Salzano has been working in this industry for 25 years you can thank him for starting the competitive push among phone companies to drop rates to below 10 cents in the early 1990s. His previous company offered rates as low as five to seven cents per minute while the major competitors were still stuck at 10 cents per minute in 1998. He is NOT banned from the telecommunications industry. That is an absurd statement and defies all logic. Additionally, Mr. Salzano was not fined the largest fine in FCC history. His companies, with over $300 million in sales, voluntarily paid a 1 million dollar settlement in response to slamming charges. That same year, the major carriers (Sprint, AT&T, MCI to name a few) were each fined in excess of $5 million. A host of resellers were also fined in the $3 million to $10 million range and were forced to close by the FCC. I am not justifying the actions of that company slamming has been ruled to be unacceptable since then by the courts.

Also, William, Thomas Salzano is a shareholder in Norvergence but he doesn't own the largest percentage of shares. Peter, his brother, holds the most shares that's why he is the Chairman and CEO.

Your attack on the sales professionals at Norvergence is typical of someone who posts on this site. Being familiar with every screening manager who comes through Newark (even those who then turn around and attack my character in this very forum), I can assure you that none of them are greasy, cheap, mono-toned or classless. We hire the best sales people in the telecom industry whether they continue to maintain their good character after ceasing employment at Norvergence is beyond my control.

In closing, The MATRIX box allows the company to provide the cost savings Norvergence Screening Managers and our contacts specify. I encourage all interested parties to contact Norvergence with questions. And if you are already a customer and are having any type of customer service complaint, please call number below.

Patricia

Customer Service: 1-866-744-6678 Monday - Saturday 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM (EST) for cellular, billing, service and T1 data technical support. The after-hours landline (non-cellular, non-wireless) technical T1 data support group is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Again, this T1 data group cannot support cell phone issues. Those are only addressable during regular hours.
