 Ocwen Loan Servicing is more than a ripoff! They forced us into a HAMP modification and while we were being evaluated

, they foreclosed on us. We lost our home of 12 years! We were never even notified that the house went to auction until after the fact. We were advised by Ocwen that the sale date was postponed from May 9 the June 12 and by then our loan should be approved for modification.

Well they didn't postpone the sale date, we were never contacted and we had no knowledge that our home was sold until almost 2 weeks after the sale while all the time Ocwen still was asking us for more paperwork. When I got notice from the courts that the sale went through, I called Ocwen. They assured me it was an error on their part and that we could not be foreclosed on since we were still quailifing for the HAMP evaluation.

I talked to their legal department and they told me they would resind the sale (reverse the foreclosure) and not to worry. Two days later I get a 3 three eviction notice to vacate the property. When I tried to contact Ocwen . they ignore our calls and when we finally were able to get someone on the phone with authority, they said they didn't foreclose on us it was the judge!

They claimed since the HAMP wasn't approved by the sale date, they no longer could stop the foreclosure! What they don't seem to get it that they were supposed to postpone the sale date, and all their paperwork states (IN BOLD BLACK PRINT) YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR HOME DURING THIS MODIFICATION. YOU WILL NOT BE FORECLOSED ON! Well we were and are now homeless.

Thank God, for family that has taken us in. I am seeking an attorney who is willing to take the case against Ocwen. Does anyone know of any in FL who can handle this?
