I gave them $55 through my credit card with the understanding they would give me $20 birthday gift. They took my money and charged my account with a fee. I tried to transfer my money into my poker account. They wouldn't allow it because they wanted a validation. I down loaded their forms but they wanted all kinds of personal information that I don't give out to anyone. It was an unfair request that could jeopardize my credit. I refused to do that. I called them twice to ask for my money back because they insisted I fill the validation report. I refused and asked for my money back. Before this I transferred all my money to the cash area. I tried to get my money back after I tried using their withdrawal system. Most withdrawal means were closed except for the ones that wanted a $10 fee. After that all failed I tried to put my money back into my poker account but they wouldn't allow me to do that either. Now, they have my money and hung up the phone on me twice. Stick with the better known poker sites.

Oddsmaker Are Documented Theives

AUTHOR: Pro Poker Player - ()

I hate to say this, but be happy that they only got you for $55.

Oddsmaker is the newest reincarnation of a notorious group of scammers who have been preying on Internet gambling victims for over a decade.  This is at least the third iteration of their scame under a new company name.  The original company name was Futurebet, which if you do a web search for it, will bring up hits related to millions of dollars worth of theft.  These people have stolen from their players, from their advertising affiliates, from their operators, and they do it repeatedly.  After Futurebet was exposed and looted, they started over with a company named IGS.  After the same pattern repeated itself this third company was formed, named Gametech.

Gametech is the company who owns and operates Oddsmaker, and they are well known for stealing already. Oddsmaker has repeatedly confiscated large five figure sums from winning sports bettors and players who have lucky streaks in their online casino.

These scammers stole nearly one hundred thousand dollars from me, when they operated as Futurebet on the Ongame Poker Network back in 2007.  I was in personal contact with other players, who in total, lost out on over one point three million dollars.  That was a small list of who got screwed in the deal.

Avoid Oddsmaker at all costs, they have a decade long history of criminal behavior!  Here is but a small sample of their misdeeds: http://professionalrakeback.com/Room-Reviews/Scam-Poker-Sites/Oddsmaker

To anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation to the person who wrote this original report abou the scamming fraudsters at Oddsmaker.com I have some advice.  Do a chargeback on your credit card.  You will get your money returned.  Furthermore, if you really want to hurt these people, what you should do is tell the credit card company that it was an online gambling transaction.  You can not personally get in trouble for gambling online, but these people can get in trouble for processing your transactions if you are a resident of the USA, as they are not supposed to do so.  By telling the credit card company they are doing so, you put their credit card processor at risk of being shut down.  That would help to thwart their business and this perpetual scam.  Please stick it to them if you can!
