We hired a company through Freelancer to build a new software we needed for our business.

After negotiations were complete and we agreed on a price ($400 US) the software was meant to be built. Now it came to paying our deposit..

After trying numerous methods to pay this company, as he cannot get money out of PayPal nor his Freelancer account as these payments are not accepted in Bangladesh.. We agreed to pay via Western Union.

By the way this person who we were looking to employ was NOT the lowest bidder either, it went on his qualifications. (Big mistake by us)

Well, after this we were contacted by this person, who demanded more money!

I advised this person, I will not be paying anymore money until they deliver me some of the work that he promised to undertake.

I was then informed that he will NOT start work until I pay him more money. At this stage I was left with an uneasy feeling about this sub-contractor and asked for a refund..

He advised me that he has taken the time to speak to me and was keeping this money for his hourly rate..

We have been ripped off and left empty handed, I strongly urge you not to do business with this gentleman and or his company.

I have now contacted the POLICE in Bangladesh and have also employed a debt collection agency to try and recover our costs.

CAUTION: DOING BUSINESS IN BANGLADESH IS NOT LIKE DOING BUSINESS IN AMERICA, AUSTRALIA OR CANADA!
