Option One Mortgage Corporation Crooked dealings, predatory lending and numerous violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act Irvine California

I too have been "ripped off" by Option One Mortgage. We were not in a position to be placed with a substandard lender when we refinanced our home. However, our whole refi was a disaster from the start. We had the misfortune of dealing with Lorrie Tracy, acting as Broker for North American Mortgage to place us with Option One. They refused to accept our homeowners insurance and placed their own Safeco, vsi, on the property and increased our payments accordingly. Our insurance agent wrote seven letters and their response was, "we don't like the way the letters were worded." Now, due to Option One holding our payments, increasing the amounts to cover their insurance and additional fees and misinformation fed to us by them, we are in foreclosure and bankruptcy. We filed a chapter 13 to try to save our home and Option One violated the stay and sold our home out from under us. Now, even though they have to start the foreclosure proceedings all over again, we were forced to move due to the mental stress and anxiety caused by their illegal actions. I would urge anyone who has had similar problems to seek the help of a class action attorney. There are several listed; look under "Class Action Attorneys" in a search. Perhaps we can recoup some of our losses and put this "Predatory Lender" out of business.
