Went in for a Q50 and was quoted $43,000 about 2 weeks prior. They couldn't match that quote but came close at $43,500.
I was given the options of financing and leasing. I decided to go with leasing and that to that 2 options. One with with a $5400 secuirty deposit (MSD) that brought down my monthly payments to about $450.
This was based on the new quote of $43,500.
Well, that all changed when I got to the finance department. The price is now $45,597.02 (after a capitalized cost reduction). So actually my lease is based on the MSRP value of the car at $46,897.02.
They moved some numbers around to make it look like it was the same deal. But of course, the payments are now about $100 more than the original quote. Basically $2,000 in capitalized cost reducation, and another 2,000 that went to the amount due at signing.
Pretty sure I am a victim of the bait and switch fraud. Of course, since I signed the contract without reviewing it until I got home, I am stuck on this.
This is actually the first time that a Dealership has pulled this on me. No where else have I had anyone increase the price from what I was originally quoted. They caught me off guard and half asleep after waiting over 2-3 hours "negotiating". But all that was for nothing since the contract listed the car at MSRP.
After talking to them, they are claiming I got a deal and that I did get the car for $43,500. But the numbers don't like. My monthly lease payment is based on the adjusted Capitalized Cost. Which is $45,597.02.
So instead about $450 a month. I am not stuck with a lease of about $550 a month.
Anyone else who leased though Orange Coast Infiniti, should take a close look at their contract and see if they Cap Cost matched the agreed price.
