Palliser Furniture Ltd. wrinkles and puckers standard Winnipeg Manitoba

Based on the appearance of a showroom leather sofa, we purchased two in a local store in the same style from this manufacturer. The sofa was available in four grades of leather. The showroom model was 3000. We upgraded to 4000.

When the sofas were delivered we were dissatisfied. All seams everywhere were puckered and puckered and pulled on an angle so badly that the sofas looked like wrinkled prunes. The showroom sofa did not look anything like this. Midway of one seam hung a loose loop of thread. The leathers were apparently sewn in Mexico.

When we showed two typical cushions to the retailer he agreed the workmanship was inferior and contacted Palliser. Palliser said the look was standard and therefore there was no warranty coverage.

So there you have it: a showroom leather sofa with smooth well sewn seams and two delivered sofas with gathered and puckered seams so dramatically different they could well be taken for different sofa styles.

Beware of companies that ship an inconsistent quality product and refuse to invoke warranty coverage.
