Now here is the problem, i opened my file in July of 2010 and did all that was required and waited, the website stipulates that 18 months are required from beginning to end (for regular service) they want double that for expedited service, which only exists in their minds as the courts and RCMP office both told me no such thing exists, so anyway after 14 months and no news i gave them a call to get an update, this is the first problem as i live in Montreal and though i would be dealing with a Mtl office but they have almost 20 offices and no matter which you call they answer in Vancouver, (i gave it a try and the receptionist is always the same)
So at this point they tell me that a fine had been paid in 2007 that might make me non eligible, true i had paid this fine it turns out but with a 5 minutes phone call i received confirmation that i was 100% eligible for pardon and waiver, the guy on the phone tells me (now keep in mind that 14 months have gone by) that they would need a minimum of 12 to 24 months to complet my file which would bring me to a minimum of 26 moths to a possible 38 months to get a freaking pardon, at this point i lost it as this guy does not give a damn and not only is he refusing to return my PERSONAL papers he sends me an invoice for services not even rendered
Now i called the RCMP office in Ottawa and they told me that the papers were received by them from Pardon services Canada on January 7th 2011 !! 7 months after i opened my file.. if thats not non-performance i don't know what is, both the rcmp and the courts told me these companies are scams with promises that only leed to asking for more money IE: making you wait and wait then ask for double to get the job done, the both also told me that 6 months is the usual time for a pardon and less then a year for the waiver and here i am after 16 months with nothing and a possible 2 years of waiting
My lawyer has sent a letter demanding my papers back on october 11th 2011 with no answer from them at all, these people are refusing to surrender my fingerprints and all papers collected BY ME as they believe they own my stuff..can you beleive this
anyway have filled with the Vancouver BBB and now here hoping i can avoid paying for more lawyers, times a waisting and please do not retain services from such companies.. do it yourself..its the best way..even the cops and courts will tell ya..RIPPOFF !!

they sent me my waiver papers (which are time sensitive) just before Xmas and did not send me my letters of reference which they had the originals, so had to try and gather all this AGAIN during the holidays in order to be ready before time runs out, oh and they tried to double bill me again, when you leave messages the simply don't call back
Stay away

i am still disapointed in the owner and the time frame in which my file has progressed but i now at least have somebody i can talk to, so now must be patient for yet another 14 months ++
the only thing to keep in mind is that they have addresses all over Canada but everything is done through Vancouver so information that is only miles from your place travels thousands of miles and is very time consuming
thanks for your time
