I bought my 2002 Audi A4 from a local dealership (not the Audi dealership) and since it was still under factory warranty, decided the only place that should service the vehicle would be the ONLY Audi dealer in the state, Parker Audi.

I took it in for the 50,000 scheduled maintence and when I got there for my appointment, I asked for a loaner car since I was told it would take about "an hour and a half." I was told by their main service person, Lonnie, that they didn't have one available. So I decided to wait in the customer lounge.

When the car was ready (as stated, about an hour and a half later) I was given my ticket and told, "If you get a survey, if you would, please give us all 5's." (the top score)

When my phone rang the very next day with the surveyor on it, I answered the questions honestly and on a couple of things (i.e., availability of a loaner car and whether the service was explained to me), I gave them the lowest score, a 1. No loaner car was given or offered and there was absolutely no description of the service that was performed on my vehicle.

A week later the owner of the dealership, Dave Parker, calls me wanting to know why I gave his service guy such a low score and I told him exactly how it was. Lonnie (the service guy) was never flat-out rude, but he never took the time to treat me like a valued customer either. I told him that I didn't know the tires had been rotated or anything else, and that even Jiffy-Lube and Wal-mart tell you what services they perform! He suggested that if I wasn't happy, to take my car elsewhere for service.

Well, about 2 weeks after that, my husband called to schedule service and when our name was looked up in their computer, we had been BANNED, per the owner, from getting service there.

SInce there is not another Audi dealer in my area (or even my whole state), what am I to do if I want to have my car properly cared for?! I'm not sure now that this is where I would want to take it anyway, but I think this is unethical and flat out TERRIBLE customer service.

Parker Has Always Taken care of Me

AUTHOR: MR GOODBAR - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 17, 2012

I have been a Parker customer since 2006, when I bought my first Audi A6 from them.  I have since purchased another Audi, a Q7 for my wife.

My next car, later this year will the absolutely stunning A7!  All dealers go through ups and downs, but Parker has taken care of me better than ANY dealer I have dealt with since purchasing my first new car in 1972.

Dave Parker has personally called and thanked me for my business after each purchase, and always greets me by name if he sees me at the dealer getting service.

If you got bad results from Parker you must have hit them on a full moon, or your expectations are way above normal.  I look forward to a new A7 in just a few months- from Parker!!

Parker Audi Service Department abysmal

AUTHOR: Randy Maxwell - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 05, 2011

Parker's service department has broken multiple promises to me. I will never have another car serviced there or purchase a vehicle from any Parker related entity.  They diagnose issues in an unprofessional manner and run up charges without communication.  I encourage everyone to look elsewhere for a car or car service.

Parker Audi Service and Sales Best of the Best

AUTHOR: Dunkeroo2 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 18, 2008

I have been a customer of Parker Audi since approximately 2003. The service department is the best I have ever experienced. Originally I had a 1997 Audi A4 that was not purchased at Parker and was out of warranty when I started using them for service. I was always treated excellently. In fact service was above and beyond. In fact I had a seat belt issue on this car. Mind you it was out of warranty but the Service Manager got the Audi Regional Rep to agree to pay to fix it!! That's service! I then bought a new 2006 A4 from Parker Audi. I have always had it serviced there. When I schedule service I am always offered a loaner vehicle. Whether its for 2 hrs or one time it was 2 weeks due to waiting on a part. Never a problem. Everything is always explained to me and Im treated with the utmost courtesy. I have been so happy with Parker Audi that I recently purchased a 2009 Audi A4 from them. The salesperson is great! The service is great! No one can compete with Parker Audi in sales and service. By the way the Audi A4 is the best car on the road!

You may have to leave the state

AUTHOR: Aafes - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 12, 2006

You may have to leave the state to get reliable service. The closest dealer to you besides Parker is in Memphis.

I know this sounds ridiculous, however, the last thing I would want to do in your situation is to take the car back to this dealer. Even if the corporate office requires they service your vehicle you simply can't trust them at this point.

I do think you should contact corporate and make them aware you were told to give them high survey ratings. They will be very interested in this.

My experience with service at car dealers and "loaners". If your car requires less than a few hours service most dealers will ALWAYS tell you a loaner is not available. It is simply ridiculous as they have a lot full of cars and many of their salesmen drive demos; the cars are available, they simply don't want to accomodate you.

Follow-Up

AUTHOR: Jyll - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 12, 2006

I am the original complaintaint and wanted to follow up with what happened when I contacted Audi USA with my complaint. They apologized profusely and offered us a 15% discount on the purchase of my next *new* Audi. We refused the coupon for 2 reasons:
1.)we didn't want an apology from the corporate HQ, we wanted an apology from the DEALER/OWNER who originally called me and chewed me out for being honest on a customer satisfaction survey (I was not totally satisifed with his business and instead of trying to rectify the problem, he just took issue with ME!)
2.) If we couldn't get an apology from the dealership, Parker Audi, then we would certainly never buy another product from them and since they are the only Audi dealer in Arkansas, then we obviously wouldn't be buying another Audi! :-(

I have since traded my 2002 Audi A4 3.0 in for a 2005 Infiniti G35 and have not regretted it. The local Infiniti dealership (Crain Infiniti) has done everything possible to make us happy and we are repeat customers! THEY know how to keep their customers happy.

I think Audi home office would like to hear about this

AUTHOR: Bob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 03, 2005

http://www.audiusa.com/customer_care_feedback/0,3819,,00.html

This is as close as I could find to contact the home office (I think in the US) to file a complaint. I would be livid if that happened to me.

If you want to pursue this, check out their website www.audiuse.com, the link above was for Customer Relations. I think if I were at headquarters I would be very interested in why an Audi dealer would ban an Audi owner from having work done there.

Good luck. If anything does happen, please post a response.
