*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Rebuttal regarding Special Assessment at Lofts at 5300 Condo Assoc.
Parkside Management stated that our condo (HOA dues a little over $300 month) needed to have a special assessment due to "water damage" which later turns out is to repaint the building. The assessment is over $5,000 for my unit alone. This will total well over 1 million dollars as a condo association.
Also, funds from the property manager are being spent without HOA board approval. There needs to be some accountability and protection for homeowners. Thank you.

The special assessement was voted on by the entire membership of the Lofts at 5300 Condominium Association. Parkside Management serves as the managing agent for this associaition and has no say in this process. The reason for the need for this assessment was discussed at more than one homeowner meeting. If there are specific issues, I would recomment that the individual owner contact the Board of Directors, either through management or directly. The required repairs are to be extensive and costly to be sure, but they must be done to maintain the integrity of the building. The Board is overseeing the expenditure of all funds. Financials are available monthly for all owners to review. Thank you.
