I contracted with Partain Trading Company to ship my ready to fly RV-8 aircraft from
California to Manassas, Virginia.
My RV-8 aircraft left California intact in airworthy condition. When it arrived in Virginia,
it had major structural damage to the landing gear substructure. The damage is estimated to
be $50,000 to repair to an airworthy status.
The Partain Trading Company is trying to deny responsibility, refusing to notify their insurance of the damage
they caused to my airplane. The trucker was deceitful in not acknowledging obvious damage to the airplane
upon delivery and not cooperating in noting the damage on the reciepts.
Photos show the airplane intact leaving California, there are many witnesses. The airplane arrives with the ELT
going off indicating crash level acellerations entroute. Photos show how the airplane was loaded to cause the damage.
Hidden damage was found that clearly show massive damage thru out the entire landing gear substructure.
Partain Trading Company is not to be trusted with safely shipping an aircraft.
