You do have recourse
AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

- Based on the one side of the story, it appears as if you were scammed by the buyer.
You can file a suit against the buyer for the $500 that they charged back. They would then have to explain to the judge why they did this when you have signed documents stating they bought the car, the positive feedback left on Ebay. If they can't explain away the charge back the judge should rule in your favor.
The problem with this..you generally have to file in his jurisdiction. If it is far away it is generally more of a hassle than it is worth, and that is what they buyer may be hoping. But depending on the situation you MAY be able to go after them for any costs involved in filing the suit as well.

Did you get the truck back?

Your original report seems to imply the deposit was a fraud. That is not the same as it being a legit deposit that got charged back. Did the buyer have any legit reason to want to return the truck? I only ask because what did he have to gain by paying a deposit, taking the truck and then wanting to return it?
This seems more to me like a bad transaction by either the buyer negating his commitment, or the truck was not as described and for some reason Paypal will not go to bat for you. No way to see what Paypal really did wrong unless the buyer was returning the truck for an invalid reason.

your right makes no sense, this was my point, buyers know now, there is no recourse for sellers, and if you think there is, you have a rude awaking coming, i just hope its only a small amount!

Now you say he purchased the truck and you got a charge back 33 days later. A charge back from whom? Paypal? If so they need to give you a reason. What was the reason they gave you? If the buyer claims he never purchased the item what are they charging back? That money had to come from somewhere and the buyer had to click "buy it now" and agree to purchase it. Are you saying eBay and Paypal have no record of this?
For lie number 2 who is claiming the deposit was a fraud? Wouldn't the buyer have to pay the deposit before paypal or eBay would even inform the buyer he/she won the item or inform you the item has sold?
Has far as lie 3 I have no idea why a buyer would say the item was not as described but then deny purchasing it. How would he know the item is or is not as described if he did not purchase it?
Look, eBay and paypal are not for everyone. There are sellers that claim they got screwed, and buyers that claim they got screwed Heck sometimes paypal and ebay mess up and lose lawsuits too....they are not perfect either. But the bottom line with disputes is that Paypal sometimes has to decide who wins or loses and will tell the party that loses the dispute in plain English why they lost. I have not seen you post anything that makes an ounce of sense or why I should fear getting scammed by them as a seller. So I am curious. All I am getting is rantings that make no sense whatsoever. Do you know how many cars and trucks are sold a day on eBay and never have something like this happen? I bet thousands.
How much did you know about this seller before you sold it to him and what was the form of payment? I think you may have messed up somewhere in this transaction and can do a lot more good telling us that then just accusing paypal who really had nothing to gain from this at all. They make money when transactions are successful, not by charge backs and closing accounts so this is why it makes no sense at all.

total selling over the items i state!
it was a buy now, he purchased truck, 33 days later , im getting a charge back from paypal stating he never purchased the item! lie number one, lie number two, claims deposit was fraud he didnt make the deposit ! lie number 3 ! why in the hell would i sell a truck on ebay on jan6th, and have a charge back on the 26th when item was as described, and the buyer lied to paypal, that he never purchased, faxed 5 docs to prove he did, the only thing fishy here is you, paypal employe.
baystorefront ( paypal is a scam )
But my question is what did you except as form of payment? I have bought and sold a few vehicles with ebay and use escrow.com to protect the transactions. Paypal is not going to cover any poor decisions a buyer or seller makes but will review disputes and come to a conclusion. If you went outside of their rules you can get shafted. And didn't the buyer have to purchase the truck on ebay motors and either win a bid or select "buy it now"? Something is fishy with the report.
And the example with the Natnast shirts sounds like a crock too. You state you demanded a refund for item not as described to prove a point. Then you state ""HE STATED HE HAS HAD 93 CLAIMS OF THE SAME NATURE, AND IS NOT SELLING ON E-BAY!"
Well if he was not selling on eBay how did you find the shirt there?...and heck yeah if he had 93 claims of "item not as described" I would hope to protect buyers they should have closed his eBay account a long time ago.
