Paypal And EBay Nickel And Dime You! Paypal unrightfully refunded a customer on an item while charging me fees for each transaction! INTERNET

I sold a 40gb PS3 on eBay listing everything accurately about it. Everything worked in perfect condition when I shipped it off. So I sold it for $390, naturally eBay charged me a $6 listing fee as well as a $15 final value fee. I used paypal for payment so they charged me $11 for using them.

Several weeks pass, and the women I sold the PS3 to, told me that she thought it played PS2 games when she bought it, which is completely invalid as Sony doesn't make a 40gb system that is backward compatible.

The woman filed a dispute with paypal with this information and asked for a full refund. Naturally I pushed it to a claim for paypal to "review" the case. LITERALLY 4 MONTHS LATER after more than 10 emails to paypal about the case, they contacted me stating that they ruled in her favor and refunded her the money.

Naturally paypal charged me another $11 for the transaction back to her. So a month later (We are up to 6 months now total for the whole f***ing transaction) I receive the PS3 back. As soon as I open the box I notice that the plastic top of the PS3 is cracked across the middle and completely scratched and blemished. SO, I plug in the system to play a game and, big surprise, it won't even load a disc into the slot.

I contacted paypal right away stating it was messed up. SO they put in a appeal "case" for the system. Again, I waited another MONTH (up to 7 months total for transaction) and finally they stated that the woman who bought it stated that she returned the system because it didn't work.

Therefore she completely changed her story, I provided all the saved emails to them in proof that she lied and they still denied me.

Final Note:
After all was said and done between paypal and ebay I not only got charged $43 for all the listing and transaction fees AND I they wasted 7 months of my time. In the end, I was left with a big hole in my pocket and a broken PS3.

Moral of the story:
SELL YOUR STUFF ON CRAIGSLIST! ITS NOT WORTH THE EXTRA $20 YOU CAN MAKE ON EBAY, PAYPAL AND EBAY CHARGE YOU THAT MUCH AND THERE IS NO DISPUTE DEPARTMENT!
