I'm a member of ebay. I'm also a member of paypal. I sell items on ebay. The winning bidder has Paypal and pays me for the item an shipping. Paypal takes the money "All of it!" Then, says I need to ship the item and pay for shipping out of my own pocket. Send an item to someone I've never met and wait.....

Who are these two companies to do this to me/us? These are our items. This is money that we earned! I pay for listings and always give ebay and paypal thier fair cut. " I have to no matter what! " Then they keep it for up to 21 days. While it builds interest in thier account.

I've heard of scams on ebay and paypal. but I never thought they would scam the whole world at once! Holy cow! Is this not the best scam ever.

We do all the work buy, build and create our own items to sell. Pay for listings and money transfer rates. Then get told. You will get your money when we sit fit. If at all! Deal with it! My name is not little B*%$@ last time I checked.

Is yours? Make a stand. Don't get scammed. Together united we can be heard.

A few of PayPal's policies drive me nuts and this is one of them. I'll just let the email from PayPal speak for itself:

Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concerns.

Hello xxx, I hope all is well with you. My name is Rochelle and I
understand that the payment from your buyer is still on hold. I would
like to apologize for the frustration and the inconvenience this issue
has caused you. I am more than happy to assist you with your concern the
best possible way I can.
With regard to your concern and upon checking your account, it shows
that the payment from xxx on the 30th of September
amounting to $604.99 USD is still on hold. For security reasons, PayPal
may delay the release of a payment to the seller. eBay and PayPal are
working together to make the marketplace safer for buyers and sellers by
helping to ensure successful transactions which, in turn, can mean more
sales for you.
To determine if a transaction may have a higher risk of dissatisfied
buyers, we may hold payments that seem risky. Common reasons for holding
payments include but are not limited to:
An eBay member for less than 6 months, and selling an item for
more than $100, or
Have an eBay feedback score of less than 100, and sell an item
for more than $100, or
Have a Buyer dissatisfaction percentage** 5% or greater than 5%,
or
Have an average Detailed Seller Rating (DSR) of less than 4.5, or
Have received fewer than 20 Detailed Seller Ratings in the last
12 months, or
The item is listed in a high-risk category such as gift
certificates, video games, cell phones, computers or consumer
electronics.
PayPal may release the funds earlier when one of the following occurs:
3 calendar days pass after proof of delivery.
The buyer leaves positive feedback after receiving the item.
21 days without a dispute, claim, chargeback or reversal filed on
that transaction.
For US domestic shipments, the eBay hold is removed 3 days after proof
of delivery is received. (Carriers - USPS, UPS, or FedEx)
Once the payment is completed successfully, the status in My eBay or
Selling Manager will change to "Paid."
I appreciate the opportunity to assist you today. If in case you feel
that this is inadequate, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer
Support Representatives at 1-888-221-1161 and we will be delighted to
further assist you regarding your concern.

Sincerely,
Rochelle

Paypal and eBay are in cahoots...APPARENTLY

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 03, 2008

The last time I checked, Paypal and eBay are working together.

My cousin and I each put $200 in a paypal account so we could order stuff online and it was shortly after paypal opened up.

I kept waiting to see a financial statement and they never sent one. I accessed my account online, she accessed her account online and ALL THE MONEY WAS GONE. HACKERS GOT IT!

NO REFUND,NO EXPLANATION. NO ACCOUNTABILITY! NO ONE TO COMPLAIN TO! NO FDIC INSURED ACCOUNTS!

STAY AWAY FROM EBAY! I DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING ANYTH

STOLEN MERCHANDISE HAS BEEN FENCED THERE.

NONEXISTENT MERCHANDISE HAS BEEN OFFERED THERE.

YOU JUST MIGHT NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

This was a great idea when it started up but the hackers, the scamsters and the phisher and pharmers got into the act and STOLE MONEY!

Once burned, twice shy.

And remember the old Chinese proverb:
Fool me ONCE, shame on YOU
Fool me TWICE,shame on ME!

AND THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER CHANCE.

Don't be surprised if they still keep your money ALL of your money even after you do ship that item OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET.

That is the unpleasant RISK you take of doing business online.

I want to walk down the street to my LOCAL merchants and pay CASH out of my pocket and take actual, PHYSICAL POSSESSION of the merchandise that I want.

NO CREDIT CARD RIP-OFF FROM GREEDY, DOUBLE-DEALING FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS WHICH MAY BE ON THE VERGE OF COLLAPSE ( And they probably wouldn't tell you until after they filed for the BAILOUT that WE financed)

I am sorry that they did you the way they did but going online for anything these days in this yuppie-driven economy is a lot like Vegas.
Only VEGAS is more honest.

Crooks win.

You lose.
