i paid $179.95 for pc care247 protection plan-2 years, and tech support-1year at the end of 2011. on 4/13/12 yogish upgraded my account to 2year tech support, 4 year protection plan for an inconvenience. on 6/25/12 i called tech support because i was getting a "windows need to be updated" message when i turn on computer. the tech took over my computer through the internet to try to fix problem. after several days of no success, a tech finally said that with windows xp you will not need to update anymore. he showed me last updates in 2007. he said he will disable the pop-up and everything will be allright. he said another tech will finish up in a couple of hours, it was the end of his shift. i called and spoke with tech who took over my computer. i told him i had to leave for a couple of hours. he said he should be through by the time i get back. when i got back i did not see any activity on screen. i called and tech told me he lost internet connection. i restarted computer and could not get back on internet for him to connect. the tech had messed up my internet connection then messed up all the drivers trying to fix it. for the next 3 weeks i spent hours, day and night downloading drivers, windowsxp, windows7 from my laptop per techs instructions. still did not work. the end of the first week i spoke to dawn-customer service. he assured me that they will fix my computer from their error. he had me buy reinstall cd rom from ibm $52.24, take my computer to have fixed at staples $39.95, gave my brother $20.00 to help me, i am disabled, i can't lift. dawn told me that he would reimburse me for what i spent. on 7/2712 i told dawn i wanted to be reimbursed $292.14 plus 1 more year tech support, 2 more protection plan. that will make me have 3years tech support and 6 years protection plan. he said he will speak with upper management to try to resolve this. instead i received an e-mail from dawn saying that they were reimbursing the $179.95 and there will be no more service. i responded to the e-mail saying that this is unsatisfactory and i am not agrreing to this e-mail. this is not what we spoke about! this is very unfair. that will cover only 1 year tech,2 year protection plan. i spent over a month with many tech guys all day and night long. i had my computer fixed from their error, which i paid for. this is bad business! instead of reimbursing me fairly, they refunded the $179.95 what i originally paid. that do not cover the 2 more years of tech support and 4 years of protection plan plus the $112.14 owed to me from what i spent on top of the $179.95 to get my computer fixed per dawn martinez. they did not even reinstall the programs and software that was erased when the tech had me run the recovery cds to try to fix drivers that did not work! when i asked christian to speak with dawn's boss, he said that dawn is on vacation and will not be back until 8/3/12. i only can speak with dawn, he said. how convenient! in the meantime my computer is not protected. he did not speak with anyone to try to reimburse my proposition. they still owe me by the contract. pc care is very unprofessional. they do not respect your time. they have you waiting or return calls for hours when they say 15 to 20 minutes! there is a lot more detail that went on day by day. also they have a office in gurgaon, haryana, india. that is where they said they were located.
