Dave Stewart & Kevin Settele with Pebblebrook Homes mislead and made many false statements & promises to us so we would select & sign a construction contract with Pebblebrook Homes ...

After we signed a Contract with Pebblebrook Homes, Mr. Stewart and Mr. Settele did not and refused to build our "Custom" home per our contract, final plans, and/or our final selections ...

Builder installed & charges us for items/materials we did not select or like, then refused to remove those items and/or correct his errors ...

Builder charged us thousands of dollars for materials that were not installed and for labor that was not provided during the construction of our new home ...

Builder ripped us off & withdrew $3,000.00 from our construction escrow for fee's builder agreed to pay per our signed contract so we would select and sign a contract with Pebblebrook Homes to build our new house ...

After we signed our contract with Pebblebrook, builder inflated the cost of the granite we preselected by more than $3,000.00 ...

The granite we pre-selected for the counter tops was lost & never found ...

One of the builders subcontractors damaged our brand new fireplace, ceilings and walls in the kitchen & living room, walls and floors in the garage, thousands of dollars brand new tile & grout work, along with other items in our home when he/subcontractor neglected/failed to cover and protect those and other items before spraying oil based black lacquer paint inside our home and garage during the construction of our home ...

When we complained to builder about the above mentioned & other problems, the builder harassed and threatened us, locked up the house & stopped construction ...

When we refused to pay builder for damaged items, for items that were not installed, for labor that was not provided during the construction of our home, for poor workmanship and/or for items we did not select, like, or want installed in our home, builder threatened us, locked up the house, & stopped construction ...

Builder made changes to our final selections then forced us to sign written change orders and hand over addtional money for changes made by builder not us ...

During the construction of our home, builder demanded we hand over additional money to correct builder/subcontractor errors ...

After we reported our builder to the Metropolitan Builders Association & asserted our rights under the Wisconsin Right to Cure Law, builder harrassed & threatened us, locked up the house, stopped construction and demanded we sign the last draw request ...

Builder refused to unlock the house and/or resume construction until we signed the draw requests ...

Because of our financial situation and the many months it would take before we would have the opportunity to address & resolve the above mentioned and other issues through arbitration, we were compelled to sign the last draw request and are forced to move into an unfinished & damaged home ...

It will cost us additional money to have our case heard before the Metropolitan Builders Association and even when we win there is no guarantee the builder will pay us for our losses and/or the damages they caused us ...

The builder ripped us off for thousands of dollars and it will cost us thousands to complete the house per our final plans and selections & to fix/replace all of the builders errors ...

We were mistaken. The above posting is incorrect. The Company referred to above is not doing business as the continuation of Pebblebrook Homes, LLC, and is in no way related to or affiliated with Pebblebrook Homes, LLC.

Pebblebrook Homes LLC is now doing business as "Image Custom Homes and remodeling LLC". Their new location is located at 1239 Hwy 175 Hubertus, WI. 53033.

Rebuttal by Subcontractor, Sussex WI., is false, a hoax, and violates Rippoff report's terms of policy

Homeowners demand that the author of the rebuttal identified as, subcontractor, Sussex, WI, identify him/herself and provide documentation to the homeowners proving the outrageous, defamatory, and reckless statements he/she made against the homeowners are true. Homeowners have documents & photos proving exactly who damaged what & when, including a document proving the builder admitted to & took responsiblity for damages as decribed in the original complaint. The homeowners contracted Pebblebrook Homes to build them a "Custom" Home, per ALL their selections, not the builders. In addition, no subcontractor was present at anytime during the selection process, therefore, no subcontractor has any personal knowledge of ALL the materials & items that were selected by the homeowners, that should have been included in the construction of their home and were not.

Incorrect Statements Made by Home Owner

I am a Sub Contractor who worked on this house. There were problems with this home owner from the very beginning. The damage the owner talks about to the house, was not done by the builder or any of the subs. The damage was done by the home owner, who made changes after the fact o and when the builder informed her that it was to late, damaged these items in order to get her own way. When she talks about the black lacquer on a kitchen cabinet, you would havehad to see it to believe it. She had a wood cabinet, and as we all know wood has a grain to it. She insisted there was to be no grain showing. You would not believe the amount of damage this owner did and the only way Pebblebrook had of protecting themselves was to lock her out. Pebblebrook Homes is a very reputable company and I as a sub would be happy to work on their jobs at anytime.

This reads like your house appetite exhausted your financial resources, and this left you in a weak barganing position.

And I bet you "cannot afford" a lawyer with a successful, i.e. lawsuit-winning, track record....? Will you go this alone and place yourself at the mercy of the Metropolitan Builders Association.....? Guess where their loyalty lies......

The contest usually is won by the strongest and best prepared.........
