I am making a complaint about Pennington Propane of Morenci Mi..AKA Suburban Propane all the same company...On about Jan31,2014. My mom (a elderly woman) placed an ordered for propane from this company as she had about 5% and is on a fixed income this propane was paid in FULL and with a extra delievery FEE to bring it that day as this is what they said had to be done, Over $900. was paid, when I called to ask where her propane was as extra was paid to bring it that day a Lady by the name of Lynn I do believe was her name told me that because she wasnt on a regular route she was NOT a route customer and they would get her propane when they had their route customers done.

My mom has been a customer with Pennington for over 20 years, I ask what the heck are u talking about she is a CUSTOMER, she said she was NOT a route customer, I ask how crazy is this, do u really know how u sound...I said she has been a Customer for over 20 years and extra money was paid to have it delieved that day, she said NO the extra money was so it could be delievered within 3 days,this order was placed on a thurs and was NOT delievered until MONDAY with 1% as we had -20 degree weather and snowing daily, I feel that this company should be SANCTION with a fine and or put out of business, after this full tank is gone as it was PAID in full along with that extra money,

I will get her a NEW company that treats not ONLY the ederly but all customers with respect....My mom was on a route up until 3 years ago she is on a fixed income and it seemed like they were always bringing her propane when she didnt need it and this ran up a high propane bill where she was always paying for propane when she didnt need it..I called a Lady by the name of Gail (I dont thing she works there any longer) and told her about my moms finances, she said she understood, and she would place a NOTE on her account where my mom would call when she was about ready for a delievery, Gail never stated that this would make her a NO route customer, I have never heard of suc a thing...A CUSTOMER is a CUSTOMER...how does this company think they stay in business...with CUSTOMERS like my mom...

I believe my mom should get this delievery fee placed back onto her account, as she had to turn her thermostate down to 50 so she didnt run it out, she had to use electric heaters because they wouldnt bring her propane, so this made her electric bill up, I believe Pennington should pay for her extra electric that she had to use because they wouldnt deliever her propane...This Company is sorry, I would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE...A BIG FINE, would work for me and some of my mom's money back for Elderly abuse....If we didnt have all this snow I would of changed companies at that point, but NOONE could get out to drop a new tank...so she is STUCK until this full tank is empty..

There are several places your complaint falls apart..

1. She was NOT a regular route customer, but a call on demand customer. If she were a route customer and SHE had to wait while someone who wasn't got service, you would be here complaining about that. You posted that she was not a current route customer.

2. What proof do you have that they treat only the elderly with disrespect?

3.Why was it a problem and unnecessary expense to have the tank filled on a routine, route basis?  They weren't putting more in the tank than she could use before it evaporated or got old...it doesn't do that.  The reason for going to demand was invalid and put her in this situation.

4. They are under NO obligation to pay her power bill due to the type of account she was on.  Do you see how ridiculous this Ripoff Report is?

They didn't rip her/you off.
