People's Credit First sent me an acceptance letter in September of 2002 telling me I was approved for a Platinum Credit Card w/ a $5000 limit. I recieved a folder with a catolog and piece of plastic that can only be used through them.

So I did what the letter said and I returned it, well of course they are still saying to this day they never got my return and I can't get my money back. I then found this website and just like everyone else this happened to, I got angry. So angry that I contacted the BBB (No help what so ever) to this day all they do there at the BBB in Clearwater Florida is send copies to me of the letters Peoples Credit First writes in regards to the letters I wrote to the BBB.

Still I won't stop writing the letters but I figured I would also take it a step further. I then wrote to The Attorney General's Office in my state (CT) who in return turned it over to The Attorney General's Office In Florida. I recieved two letters from The Attorney General's Office, and they are forwarding my complaint to The Department Of Agriculture and Consumer Services who will investigate my complaint.

I also called my local post office and told them that this company is comitting fraud through the mail so they sent me a complaint form for me to fill out and return so they can investigate it. Alot of people don't want to go through the trouble, they will say it was only $49.00 and they will move on. But just remember it doesn't take much time to write a letter.

Contact your Attorney General's office in your state, they will give you the address to where you can send your complaint on People's Credit First also going by the name Consumer's First, make sure you send a copy of the Rip-Off-Report and they will handle it from there. The more people that do this the better chance we have of getting justice. If only one person sends a complaint they might not look in to it to much rather than getting several complaints.

Putting aside the fact I am angry at what they did to me, the anger got worse when they sent another acceptance letter to my house telling my brother he was accepted. They went by the name Consumer's First this time. They show absolutely no remorse for what they are doing, why should the victims.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
