As a former employee, I would like to speak out about the insights of this business and the way I was treated.. I speak out because of what I feel is not fair, my mentality, confidence and ability to think clear have all been interrupted by the way they treated me. I have developed abdominal pains and dress due to the envoirment I was in. Trish Hoffman is an abusive supervisor in which everyday I was told horrible things about me, criticized on a daily basis and stepped on by both her and the owner. I was the only male in the showroom, they made me do errands for them to cover up lies to clients. When I first signed my employment contract I was given $15hr and after a 3 month probation period they would extend it up to $16hr.

During that time I bumped heads with Trish Hoffman which was due to her aggressiveness and mistreatment to me it all resulted in my probation period being pushed out another 2 months... After those two months.. I never received notice of change in my pay rate.. Not even an update.. Everytime I would ask them for an update there was a simple answer "We don't have time" I am very frustrated and hurt from everything that went on specially at my age.. I feel I lost a whole year that I will never have back.. I was always threatened to be fired, I would come to work with Anxiety and fear.. Trish Hoffman would implement fear in order for me to work, she complained about my skills and work ethics everyday.. I wrote this today because as of today I am working with the best in Real estate and Ferrari S.P.A and never in my life have I ever been told as much s*** as when I was working with Trish Hoffman and Kristina h*o-Ruan.

The individuals I work with today say so many amazing things about me and treat me amazing.. I write this today to let everyone know of my experience.. These two women will take advantage of you and all they seek is YOUR MONEY. They sell you pure Chinese floors. I here stand in light with faith and hope.. And I know I will become someone far greater than what these two disrespectful women have done to me. Last week I spoke with a developer who knew Trish Hoffman personally.. He said one thing to me.. "Never get involved with these people.. They are crooks." They breached my employment contract and broke me down emotionally, physically and spiritually. I never wishing any bad to anyone, but I hope that one day God knows what these women have done.

AUTHOR: PERFEC FLOORS - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, July 07, 2016

PERFEC Hardwood Floors feels it is unnecessary to address the many negative labels, allegations of abuse and aggressiveness or inappropriate behaviors Ricardo (((REDACTED))) alleges in this letter to Ripoff Report.  We will point out his complaints take the exact form of the very behaviors remonstrated against in his complaint. Rather than a review of PERFEC's hiring and management practices, it is simply a very personal, targeted, character assassination.  We do, however, feel it is necessary to make known Ricardo's job performance that resulted in his departure from PERFEC.

Ricardo (((REDACTED))) worked for PERFEC Hardwood Floors between April 2015 and March 2016.  Ricardo was hired as the relevancy of the skills and abilities on his submitted resume aligned with the position offered. Owners and management quickly noticed a grave difference in skill set levels demonstrated at work and those skills and abilities listed in his resume. His spelling, grammar and sentence structure caused complications with posting on social media outlets as well as written communication with clients and vendors. He was unable to communicate knowledgeably with clients during showroom sales visits.  His social media and public relations skills were highly accentuated on his resume. Ricardo's letter to Rip Off speaks to these skill set inadequacies.

During his first probationary review, Ricardo sat with the management team in tears sharing his need to move apartments [regardless of his lease terms],  loss of a long term girlfriend, family conflict with his father, his pet left with family in Texas, extreme alcoholic fits and rages by his new roommate that left him trapped for long periods in his bedroom, inability to get credit cards, multiple active sports, visiting out of town friends and his social calendar as reasons his job performance suffered.  Ricardo was shifted laterally several times during his time at PERFEC Hardwood Floors in the hopes of finding a suitable position for his skill set.  Ricardo's first probationary period was extended because he shared private client visits and showroom data with friends working at the Pacific Design Center, aired job related complaints to vendors and suppliers, and dropped by the home of a client, a very famous musician, all attempts having been made to keep his private residence unknown, after hours. Ricardo's "errands" mainly consisted of dropping off and picking up signed contracts, deposit checks, control samples to architects and designers and sales sample requests to our custom finish shop - tasks integral to running PERFEC Hardwood Floors’ day-to-day operations. Many occasions occurred where the contract was brought back unsigned, checks unsigned, checks for incorrect amount, forgotten control samples, incorrect labeling of sales and control samples. Often, his roundtrip between West Hollywood and Canoga Park or West Hollywood and Venice would be 4-5 hours. Traffic was always cited for the lengthy trips. These off-site task assignments had nothing to do with his gender but rather the job description.  Ricardo was often late to work, during office hours used his personal phone to make and receive phone calls and text messages, and company computer to search for and fill out apartment and credit card applications. During his extended probationary reviews, Ricardo was unwilling to discuss management issues with his performance, often alleging prejudices against him. His absolute rejection of multiple late work arrivals necessitated pulling his computerized key card arrivals/departures from parking services.

Ricardo's stomach and stress issues started with a complaint about hurting and possibly pulling muscles over his left ribs at work. Management asked Ricardo to see a physician and offered to file a Worker's Comp if the injury was work related. No paperwork was ever returned by Ricardo after his doctor's visit.  The drugs he was given made him even less productive at work and easily brought to tears over any showroom interaction. He stopped taking the medicine as he noticed the impact on his work, driving ability and general life activities. Meanwhile, Ricardo was shifted from sample room coordinator to logistics apprentice to accommodate his distress. Eventually he sought phone advice from his pediatrician in Texas, who he had not seen in many years and was told his stomach pain was stress and to return to the medicine he had stopped taking.

Ricardo states that all product from PERFEC is of Chinese origin. Ricardo was responsible for maintaining the PERFEC sample room for several months, during which he opened many pallets and sample packages from Holland, England, Italy, China and, several local vendors.  He picked up completed control samples from local vendors, and often met incoming deliveries at the loading dock. His signature is on many incoming local and worldwide freight orders. His email account with PERFEC reflects correspondence and acknowledgments to and from our many vendors. The sample room slowly unraveled under his supervision and required reorganization by owners and management. When asked to reconcile his Excel spreadsheet of supplies on hand with actuals the difference was marked.

Ricardo was given the benefit of a amicable discharge from PERFEC [following a discussion with management about his future plans], two weeks notice with pay and two weeks severance. He even connected in asking for a paid third week, as he could not afford his rent, his family refused to help and he wanted to take a Real Estate Internship.
