I need to start this response off with the disclaimer that I worked for this organization over 25 years ago when it was ran by Archie and his spouse at the time.  Though, I no longer work for them, when I got established and purchased my first home, I ordered the cleaner(s) to use around my own home.  Over the years, I have kept in contact with some of the current and former Independent Reps and management team. 

While I was working with them the company celebrated their 20 year anniversary.  The fact that this organization has existed for well over 40 years says TONS about just how "crooked" and unethical it is NOT!   

At the time I worked there, the product we demonstrated was Advantage and it was indeed the product that was sold door to door.  It was mixed on site usually just before we went out to sell and often when we ran out of our initial demonstration solution, we had to open a fresh bottle of the liquid concentrated product and mix a fresh bottle while out selling.  So the product does work.  

I used Advantage in the past, and when they switched to their new product Personal Touch, I also purchased and use it.  Maybe this user was expecting some type of miracle that wasn't going to require them to actually put any "elbow grease" in it.  That would be a misguided expectation of any general/all purpose cleaning product. The point of such cleaners is that they CAN eliminate the need for multiple cleaning products. Despite what a salesperson may say, the consumer has to practice some due diligence and read the instructions on proper use and dilution of the product.

The position is commission based sales.  Just like any organization that has a sliding commission scale, the more you sell, the higher your commission rate.  I found this much more advantageous and fair, than organizations where the commission is based on promotions/titles rather than volume.

Like a lot of young people (I was 19 years old) that get wrapped up with these types of traveling sales organizations, this opportunity came at a time in my life when I was going through a lot of personal turmoil and really needed to get away from everything.  So I was in a very vulnerable place.  With that being said, no one took advantage of me.  To my surprise, the majority of the management team and trainers that were assigned to me, worked to be as professional in my development as a door to door salesperson as possible.  They spent hours making sure that I had product knowledge.  They spend several weeks and hours helping me to develop my sales pitch/presentation and overcoming objections. 

This is not to say there weren't any predators lurking.  Predators are everywhere, on every job.  I just personally had the discernment to avoid them and not get caught up in compromising situations with them.  In fact, someone would tell you if you were a female to avoid this person or if you were a male to avoid that person.

Mr. and Mrs. Williams both spent lots of individual one-on-one time with each agent. Again, Mr. Williams NEVER took advantage of me or tried to say or coerce me into anything inappropriate.

Over the 5-6 years, my experience with the Williams organization actually was a life changing experience which exposed me for the first time to the concepts of the power of positive thinking and the ability to master your life, shape and control your future and destination by controlling your thought life.  And yes…I thank God for those 6 years that I was exposed to this organization and how their teaching principles are still a guiding light in my life today.

Everyone may not have had a great experience with this organization or it's products, I'm just here to "set the record straight" for those of us that did.
