Buy Beware,

Phat performance offers product on their website for a fair price. However they do not accept returns or exchanges for custom made parts. Here's the catch, Not one part on their site expresses wheather it is custom made or not. So when you need to exchange it for another product you can't and you are stuck with whatever you purchased.

In my case I order a cable for a 1999 kawasaki 1500 Nomad Part number #43059A. I put the part number as #43095A, Which is actually a cable for a 1999 kawasaki 1500 Classic. I know it is strange it is actually the same exact part on both bikes. Still the mistake was mine, I always read the return policy before I purchase something online.

It was no different in this case, by their own written policy, I could return the cable as long as it had not been installed and it was not made custom for me. So I contacted the website company and told them I needed to return an item. before they knew who I was or what the product was that I was returning I was told that it was a custom made part.

So I wrote them an email with a copy of the invoice that they sent for product I order and a screen shot of the product advertised on their site. I explained that it was not indicated on my invoice or in the confirmation email nor on their site's product page.

They responded by saying that it was a custom made part and I cannot return it or exchange it. BUT! for more money they can modify it for me to fit my bike. I do not feel it is fair to give the illusion of a guarentee, I do not feel it is right to have a policy and not honor it.

If this information can save just one person from the scam they ran on me, then this report was worth writing.
