we are a small business in Tunbridge Wells and recently decided put our business on the market.we contacted phoenix and an agent came.we were told a marketing fee of 600 which we paid in advance and 6000 commission to be paid upon a sale.the business was valued at a ridiculas 150,000 to make it sound attractive! We were more realistic and asked to drop selling price to 60.000.  It has been 3 months and we have not received even  1 interested person. We have sent a cancellation letter to Phoenix but we had a massive argument over the phone, the lady called Natasha also she said she was a manager was very very rude and nasty to me. She asked me to pay 3.000 if we want to terminate the contract, It was the right time to terminate 3 months, we haven't asked them to terminated earlier. Natasha said over the phone the marketing fee is 3.000 it says on the contract, we haven't see that at all. The sales man who has done the contract for us whose name is Dell told us and written with his hand writing "Marketing Fee 500 plus VAT" . He miss sold the contract to me. The contract has designed very scummy way, hand writings were written in bigger font but the rest of the contract was too small to read. There were hidden words and it was impossible to notice 3.000 marketing fee in the contract which has written with only letters not with a pound sign and numbers, I have not seen any marketing fee rather than what the agent write and said. Now, the agency is keep calling us to pay 3.000 and sending the contract with highlighted pen to make us to see hidden clause.

I am very upset and all this problems effecting my health very badly. I would like to keep in touch people like in my situation and take this scam to the court and help us to shut this company down.
