I purchased a batch of Home Depot gift cards from PlasticJungle.com. One of the gift cards was suppose to have a $500.00 value on it, but after checking online, the value is $0.00. I tried contacting them on multiple occasions through the contact form on their website. Initially they said it was being looked into and after about 2 weeks of non-responsiveness, I contacted them again and they are claiming that it is passed their guarantee time period. The card did have a value on it when I first purchased it along with the other cards, however when I tried to use them they showed a $0.00 balance.
Given the bulk and denomination of Home Depot gift cards that were available on their website during the promotion period, I find it hard to believe that these were not purchased from an affiliate marketing account or other direct partner. I also tried contacting their CEO directly via email, but she has not responded. As of 2 months ago they are no longer buying or selling gift cards. It makes one question if the promotion was a way to raise some funds prior to shutting down operations.
