I had a corrupt file in my Outlook Express EMail and could not view my emails because of error #OX800CO133. I did a search for that error number and found PCFIX2010.com. Website says FREE download plus 30 day guarantee. When I downloaded it, sight only scanned my files and said that over 1400 files were corrupt and my internet was at high risk. I paniced and purchased the software for $29.95 on Sept 25th.

When I tryed to activate the software, I could not because no registration number or code was given to me. In frustration, I downloaded Uniblue.com and purchased DriverScanner 2010 and System Tweaker 2010 for $29.95. The software did update my old drivers, but never fixed the email problems. I uninstalled the software and sent an email to the company requesting a refund. Within 24 hours, my account was credited.

I have now written over 10 emails to Plimus with return address: do-not-rely@...The last email was apparently written by an out-of-country agent that did not know the English language. It said no refund because I lied about the registration, problems, etc. Just received another email threatening to take legal action against me if I say anything derogatory against them. I had contacted my bank to put the matter into dispute, but they, instead, connected me to a foreign agent that promised to refund my account if I did not use the software. Now, the bank is believing their story and not mine, the customer of Chase. I did cancel my debit card.

I am contacting the Attorney General in Sacramento, fraud division of Chase, FBI, etc. How can a company operate such a scam on so many innocent people and still, no one will do anything?! I didn't read the 55 reports from rip off before I threw my money away. I just hope that whoever reads this will no support this scam company that oversees so many other software vendors. Ex: Email Adept, which I will be reporting too. That software deleted every email I had. It was only supposed to fix a corrupt file. I could have deleted my emails myself, but needed them because they were not backed up.
