Plus Rental Car Theft Scam Deposit Stolen Miami Beach Florida

I rented a car with Plus Car Rental in Miami Beach, Florida in mid-January 2014 for around 3 days.

I paid using my UK Debit card, for the rental and a separate transaction for the deposit, which cost $250.

When we returned the car I was promised the deposit would be refunded onto my bank card within 10 days.

The deposit was never refunded.

I returned to the UK - subsequent phone calls were ignored, and once the guy answered the phone, said the deposit had been returned onto the card, laughed and hung up.

Although admittedly not a huge amount of money, surely this is considered theft. Whether I get my money back or not I recommend that everyone avoid this company at all costs.
