I have an account with PNC Bank. After they practiced a security breach, I realized my money was not safe at PNC. I told them I wanted to close my account, I was told I was "not allowed" to close my account. I ask to speak to a manager and PNC stated they have no managers.

Stuck forever with PNC, I was forced to continue to use them. After weeks of research I went to get a cashier's check to buy a car. I was asked what the check was for, and when I told them, I was informed I was not allowed to get a check to buy a car, and that if I wanted to buy a car, I was required to get one of their car loans. I did not want any car loan (nor any loan) but they refused. I was unable to buy a car, unable to close my account because PNC stated it was not allowed, and was told it is illegal to sue them. I was forced to take their legal advice because they have all my money.

I reluctantly kept PNC, only because they forced me to.

PNC retaliated against my repetitive requests to close my account by canceling my Visa debit card, my only source to my funds. They then emptied my bank account and canceled my online access to my account.

If PNC had allowed me to close my account or at least permit me to get a cashier's check to buy a car, the funds would not have been there for them to steal.

I received no response from them after numerous attempts, both phone and written,  but was called a "bitch" by them.

I filed a complaint with CFPB, who has granted PNC Bank's request for 60 extra days to "research."  That indicates a bias toward the bank, further punishing the victim. Just to clarify, all my money…and I mean 100 percent minus about the $50 I have in my wallet is either gone or they refuse me access. I don't have 60 extra days.

One man,  Garth Davison (garth.davison@pnc.com) knows where my money is and  sent me a form email which failed to address the situation at all. He does not care.

I have asked Mr. Davison direct questions, and he refuses to tell me where my money is ,why I am not allowed to close my account, why it is illegal to sue PNC, why I was not allowed to get a cashier's check and required to get a car loan, why he stole the money from my account, why he cancelled my debit card, or even why he refuses to return my money.

Garth Davison believes my money belongs to him and not me.

I have had no access to money for over a month.

I have not been able to pay my rent and have been forced out of my apartment; I am homeless. I am hungry. I have no money for food. I don't need to tell you it's  cold outside. Garth Davison doesn't care and apparently wants me to die.

Garth Davison has been advised, yet  he thinks all that is fair, that I deserve it, and that I deserve to lose all my money (my life's savings is roughly $15,000 and he took everything.)

Like Mocha G, I sense something very wrong here...

AUTHOR: Ken - ()

It sounds like an attempted scam on YOUR part.  When did this "$15,000 get into your account and what was the source of the funds?  Your Debit card was likely cancelled to prevent you from withdrawing disputed funds, NOT in retaliation.

Very creative of you, though.

"After they practiced a security breach.." What does this mean? Why would they "practice" a security breach?

"I have not been able to pay my rent and have been forced out of my apartment; I am homeless. I am hungry. I have no money for food. I don't need to tell you it's  cold outside. Garth Davison doesn't care and apparently wants me to die."

Sell the computer you typed this report on to buy yourself some food.

Not make sense!

AUTHOR: MochaG - ()

Your report does not make sense at all! The only glimpse I gather from your report is that at some point there was money transferred into your bank account. Then you attempted to close the account and they did not let you do it because they suspected that the money was not yours (but for Mr. Davidson). Then you attempted to withdraw by issuing a cashier check and they denied again. When you said the bank told you that it is illegal to sue them and you followed, it shows that you knew the reason behind this statement!

My questions is how long has the money you mentioned been in your account? In clarification, what was the amount of money you had when you attempted to close the account? And what was the amount a week before that? A month before that? Or even the time right before the money was transferred?

The account history could demonstrate your financial history. If all of the sudden there is a large amount of money never before transferred into your bank account without a notification, there is something odd about it. They shut down your access to the fund because they do not want you to take it, which may not be yours, and run away. You never mentioned anything about ownership of the money except you said the money is in your account. I believe there are more stories behind your report. If you think you are the rightful owner of the money, tell us how exactly happened that get you into this situation! We, readers, are not that stupid to believe whatever claims posted on a website. If you come clean, we will support you; otherwise, your claim would be invalidated and ignored.
