    I have been a returning customer to Portland Office Furniture(1 and a half years). They seemed to be fair and always help my company out, whenever we needed any type of filing cabinet, desk chair or lobby chair. ALL OF THEIR FURNITURE IS USED, EXCEPT WHAT THEY HAVE IN CATALOGES. SO, keep this in mind when buying. I have had so many chairs go bad and the nuematic peices go out. They would replace them.....for a 35$ charge! I had chairs go out within one week of buying them. I HAVE GIVEN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

So after a time period goes by, I decide to outfit one of my new locations with BRAND NEW office supplies. At the time I was still on good terms with this company and got a "package deal" quote from one of the salesmen. 

    The last straw that broke the camel's back with my company and Portland Office Furniture was simple, I had made a LARGE order(14,000$) of all NEW product (I was tired of their used JUNK) and when it was delievered, IT WAS THE WRONG COLOR AND WRONG TYPE OF DESK SET UPS!!! Further more, some of the wood filing cabinets had different stylization of handles. I was VERY irritated to say the slightest. I told their delivery branch to take it back and I would be calling the owner. When I contacted the owner (Keri Peterson) She told me a "re-stocking fee" would be enacted. "HOW IS THIS MY FAULT?" I asked. She assured me by the invoice, it was what I ordered, but they were wrong. I eventually didnt have to pay a fee and was refunded my money, BUT THIS WAS A 3 WEEK DEBACLE!!!

    I have been into this establishment one time to make my order on a weekday and one time on a weekend to peek around. I talked to the weekend staff (one person) while other customers were patiently waiting to ask questions about prices(nothing has a price tag on it!). I asked why nothing had prices on it. I was told by THEIR OWN EMPLOYEE that the actual owner of the company (Tom hayes) was a "hoarder" and didn't have alot of time to price furniture, because it sold so fast. It was a very un organized building. I asked "why is everything so out of place?" The gentleman said "because my boss has no organization skill whatsoever." He continued to besmirch the company and how poorly they treated the employees were. He went further more into detail stating; " they don't even give us health benefits, holiday pay or any type of workers compensation." When I asked "then why do you work here?" He simply said "because a job is a job" and continued to ask me if I needed to find anything, to let him know.

    I continued to stumble around inside this hazerdous place and was in sheer and utter disbelief. How can a company have a business lisence and be so disorganized? It made no sense to me at all. They have racking up and all around the inside of their warehouse. The racking holds stacks of old, used and beatup filing cabinets and the racking isn't even bolted to the ground! They are obviously short staffed, but this warehouse display was rediculous!! I have since contacted OSHA and filled a complaint with them. I have taken further action and contacted the Better Business Bureau(BBB) in hope to make this place clean up their act!

       They do offer new furniture, at a great 50% off deal!.....NOT! They will tell you over and over what it lists for, but its not true. You can ask them who their vendor is and they will not tell you. I personally did some research and found out that HBC ( a place locatd in NE portland, who's service is great!!) is their direct vendor. They sell the chairs CHEAPER than Portland Office Furniture!!! I was told by a current employee at HBC, that Portland office furnture marks all of HBC's products up 30%-50% when they re-sale the product! I couldnt believe it. 

    They use Portlands Craigslist to post all of their product for sale. I will be posting this ad up on Craigslist as well, in hope to save further patrons from helping this establishment. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!! They will make prices up off the top of their heads for items without price tags. You may as well offer them 5$ for anything in there and see if they bite. To sum up why they are scam artists and one of the most disorganized companies statewide is listed below.

1. Wrong orders being sent and them creating excuses to as why they aren't wrong.

2. THE SALESMEN ARE PUSHY! 

3. Their delivery branch was un organized and looked like convicted drug abusers.

4. All of their used chairs eventually give out and break ( they sell them from 45-500$ USED!!!)

5. They say the owner will call you back and they take note of it, but no such calls are ever returned.

6. HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION SKILL!

I will personally be boycotting this establishment and I hope you viewing wont bother wasting your time with this garbage company.

I worked for this company and can agree with the person who was Unsatisfied with this company. Everyone who works here is miserable and wants to quit. The job market is so bad that no one will. In the 8 years I worked there, there was more that 60-70 employees hired and fired from this s**t hole. I have personally watched Tom and Keri (owners) steal and swindle from customers. Kari is the fat b***h who promises things to employees and then shuts on them. She is a prime example of why companies need HR departments. Tom, the fat balding gentleman with a furniture fetish (kind of creepy fetish, the type of fetish who f**ks his nasty wife on used furniture just to get a nut) will always change prices on people in order to gain financial achievement over clients.

I built the furniture for customers and when something went wrong, they would show us how to cover it up instead of replacing it. This company is full of liars, cheats and people who will try to take your money.

f**k POF AND EVERYTHING THEY DO! DO NOT FIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS, THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND!
