We got ripped off. . .I had taken pictures for our child's 100th day with a living social deal that we had bought. The deal included a sitting fee, 2 digital images and $50 printing credit or 3rd image. Two days after the photo shoot they called to tell us that their hard drive had crashed and didn't know if it was recoverable. These pictures were important to us and our culture because we took them on our baby's 100th day of life. We started to panic and asked to have a retake right away. They agreed to let us come in the next day and retake the pictures free of charge and I would be able to order what I wanted because it was their fault. They told us that we could order from the 2nd session just in case they weren't able to recover the 1st set of pictures. Because we needed the pictures right away I choose three of the pictures and they sent it to me via email. I kept checking up with them once a week to see if they had recovered their hard drive. A month later they said that they were able to recover it and to go choose the pictures online. I choose a couple prints and a couple digital images. They send me a huge bill for the pictures I got from my first session. They told me that they charged me because I used my living social deal for the retakes. I bought the living social deal for the first session and not for the second session. And this situation wouldn't have become a factor if their hard drive hadn't crashed. I paid for the living social deal for the first session and not the second after they told me it would be free of charge. If I knew I was going to get double charged I would have gotten a refund and went somewhere else. When I explained to them how upset I was she says, "Well why don't you call living social get a refund and I'll just keep all the pictures". I was speechless at what she had told me. Pictures are irreplaceable and I can't go back in time to take pictures on my baby's 100th day. I have never had such bad service and felt so ripped off in my life. This place has not only the worst service but horrible ethics!

From your own statement you tell us that you took pictures from both of your sittings. How are they ripping you off. Its quite the opposite actually. You are attempting to rip them off. You cant have your cake and eat it as well. If you took the photos from the second sitting first, then that is the purchase you deal went under. You just got excited that they were able to recover the original sittings photos.

Dont blame a legitamate business for your failings. Pay what you owe or ditch the pictures. Its not like in 20 years that your child will notice that the picutres  are supposed to be from his 100th day alive. Tell you what, just go get new pictures and put the date of their 100th day alive on them. You will be the only one making a stink about it.

A little note.....get your own camera for around $200.00 and a large gig card for about 50$. Maybe if your the one responsable for the pictures, you will get the shot you want.
