this company is the biggest rip off i have ever seen or worked for!!!!!! overcharging the customer is an understatement they flat out rip them off!!!! first off they try to lure you in with cheap over the phone prices and then hit you with outrageous price when the tech gets to your house. for example: a normal broken spring job should run between 200-300 for two springs where precision door charges 128-148 PER spring where most garage doors have 2 springs plus they tack on a service charge and sometimes labor if they feel the service charge isnt enough then they try to sell you parts that you dont need and call it an "overhaul" when you dont even need half of the parts that they replace and if you decide not to go with their overhaul they try to scare you and say they cant warranty their work because you wont buy the rest of the parts they "say" that you need and usually cant justify why it is being replaced..... all of their service techs are paid commision so the more they sell you the more they are paid which is usually 15-20 percent of your bill...... they pay about 25-35 dollars for a spring from their vendor and turn around and sell it to the customer for 130-150 each what kind of mark up is that?????? if you or have happened to have done business with this company dont waste your time calling or writing to the bbb they wont help you or will the company help you they have so many high priced lawyers they get with your money to fight anything that comes their way.... they could get away with murder if they wanted to...... i advise anyone and everyone not to use this company and i will make sure i go to every extent of the law and my abilities to shut this office down in nc its companies like this that kill the economy these days

Precision door is a nationwide rip off. If you felt you did not get ripped off then you may have had a nice tech who felt for you. However the company as a whole is a rip off. I worked for them for a couple years and it my best job and my worst. I made 75k as a new tech but customers were always mad getting taken for $700. The only thing is I did not know they were rip off prices till after a year and then I left because morally I could not do it.
$125 range for a spring is a fair price just so you know. However when they get 2 springs, center bearing and then try to get your for cables etc... it adds up. they "up sale" big time and even worse they charge additional fee's. The local precision company I was told still charges some $7 range fuel charge which they do not tell you on the phone.

I have just recently had a very good experience with this company. The door company I used before had their tech drive up in a beat up old Olds and he pulled his parts right out of his truck. These guys on the other hand were very professional, clearly explained their recomendations and prices and did a very good job. I would not hesitate to recomend these guys and have on a number of occasions already.
