PREMIUM AUTO MOVERS low bidder beaware Miami Florida

This company is a service mover that was contacted and provided a detailed description of the car, condition, and specifics to the needs of the move. This included; required pick-up and delivery from Garage to Garage, the car is a 36 year old project car that did not have a key to the ignition, it was  unlocked, a manual, no gas, dead battery, and a flat tire.

A shipping price of $200 from Dallas to Houston was agreed. There was a $75 dollar service fee by Premier, and Premier used a contractor; MR Trucking of Red Oak TX.

My agreement was with Premier, and Premier agreed to a Saturday pick-up and a Saturday Delivery. The contractor complained about having to pick the car up on a Saturday, despite this agreement made with Premier. The contractor also said the car would be delievered on Tuesday, again, not per the agreement with Premeir.

Whether Premier provided the complete details to the trucking company they hire or not, whether they used a bidding process or not, the fact remains, my agreement was with Premier, and not MR Trucking.

Mike Richardson of MR Trucking arrived and immediately began yelling, cursing, and demanding more money for the shipping. He was claiming it would take him hours to load the car due to the lack of an ignition key. I agreed to pay him an additional $90 dollars for his trouble. To which he then loaded the car onto a truck in less than 15 minutes without issue.

This was only the beginning of dealing with an individual who only communicates through threats, intimidation, yelling, and using ever curse word known to man.

Mike Richardson did not deliver the car as promised to the garage, instead he used threats. His threats included he would take the car back to Dallas if I did not pay him  $290 cash. I had to inspect the car on his trailer, and he would not unload unless I paid him. Instead of placing the car in the garage as per my agreement with Premier, he insisted on placing the car in front of the house. He didn’t even bother to align the car next to the curb, instead, he parked it diagonal in the street.

It cost an additional $75 to contract with a towing company to move the car into the garage, something that was promised to be provided for in the original agreement with Premier to begin with.

They were the low bidder, but a bait and switch added an additional $165 to my costs. The berating from Mike Richardson of MR Trucking was uncalled for. I assume that this is how Premier is able to win contracts. Over promise, under bid, under perform, and add additional fees to get the business. If this is the type of contractors that Premier uses, avoid the conflicts, pay a little more, save the heart ache, and move on.
