Presidential Pools VA And Frank Gravatt Failed to deliver on goods and services paid for in advance - Damaged my property Virginia Beach Virginia

Well, where to begin. Frank, the owner of Presidential Pools destroyed my pool liner when attempting to fix my leaking skimmer. This disaster happened after two previously unsuccessful attempts by him at replacing what turned out to be a torn gasket. His first attempt was unsuccessful, and when I called to let him know that it was still leaking and that I would be leaving that morning to go out of town on military training, he assured me he would take care of it. More than a week went by and no Frank. Had to contact his "partner" Renee and I was assured he would be out to fix it. He finally showed up almost two weeks later than he said he would and supposedly fixed the leak. Not quite. Wife called me when I was still out of town and said the skimmer was leaking again. I tried unsuccessfully to get Frank back out a third time to fix it. When I got home from the training trip, I once again called and Frank finally agreed to come out and fix it again. Once again, no go. A fourth time, he came out when I wasn't home and this is where it gets ugly. He ended up cutting the liner around the skimmer for no apparent reason, then trying to cover up his ineptitude with a liner patch that didn't even match my liner and held with duct tape. The sad part is that he didn't even let me know what had happened - I had to call him once I peeled the duct tape back and found no liner behind the duct tape. At this point, I am ready to call the police because he damaged beyond repair a two year old liner. Only then did he admit he made a mistake. This was also after he assured me that he would "take care" of me because I'm in the military and "I'll be over there keeping us safe." He also destroyed my skimmer basket in the process of "fixing" my pool. Frank will tell you he has 25 years experience and that he works on 30-40,000 dollar pools, but yet he can't fix a simple skimmer leak on a 5K above ground pool without destroying the liner. The vinyl patches he used to cover up his mistake wasn't even close to matching my liner! He eventually did buy me a new liner but what happened after that is another sad story. Also, I had to totally drain my pool and refill it because of his butcher job, and he refuses to reimburse me for that. I also had to reschedule my 9 year old son's pool birthday party twice because of what he did to the pool and him taking his sweet time righting any of his numerous wrongs.

I also paid him to purchase and install a ladder for the pool - it has been almost a month and he has yet to do that. He dropped off the ladder but none of the mounting hardware that came with it. The ladder is useless with no hardware. I've tried to contact him numerous times and he never returns any messages and when I called his partner to let her know that my patience was gone, she hung up on me. Wonderful company w/awesome customer service. I contacted the company that he bought the ladder from and the salesperson remembered the transaction and verified that the hardware was with the ladder when he sold the ladder to Frank and/or Renee. The previous few times I did make contact with him, all I kept getting was that it would be fixed "tomorrow." If I could include pics of the damage with this post, I would. I'm sure he has done some good work in the past for other people, but obviously his reputation, integrity and quality of work is of little importance to him. Take your chances with him.
