Did not call or attempt any method of contact before repossessing vehicle. Made unreasonable demands to get car back and never attempted any type of contact since repossession. Holding personal items in vehicle and demanding payment to retrieve personal items. Very unprofessional and unethical business practices.

The "poor me" card never works...

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 10, 2015

First of all your father dying has nothing to do with you being delinquent, and the only reason you put it in was to try and attempt to gain some sympathy.

We have already seen how your intial complaint that they never attempted to contact you has been totally destroyed.   With that out of the way let's look at your phone call on the way to the airport.  Say when you called up they said that they are going to reposess your vehicle unless you made a payment.  Let's look at the possible outcomes, and why each outcome would have you looking not so good.

Outcome One: You immediatly make a payment to keep it from getting Reposessed.  The issue..why do you need the threat of a Reposession to make a payment?  You knew you were late and if you had the money the fact that you failed to pay them before shows that you were just trying to take them for a ride.

Outcome Two: You don't do anything and the car is repossessed.  Okay, so in this case you end up with exactly the same result.

Outcome Three:  You don't make a payment, instead you "hide" the car so they can't find it.  Well here I don't think I even need to say what the issue is, because if you don't see the problem there is nothing I can say.

Always A Sob Story!

Since you had money for an alleged airplane ticket, you could have paid them, if indeed there was an airplane ticket instead of another typical deadbeat embellishment of the story!

In contact at ALL times!!!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, October 09, 2015

I always maintained contact, gave phone numbers of how to reach me at all times. I even asked the representatives if they record conversations so I knew I was being documented EVERYDAY I called because sometimes it would take days for a call back. And yes shortly after one year of good payment history I fell on hard times. They repossessed my car when I flew back home to bury my father. i talked to my account manager the day I left to the airport. He said it would be okay until I get back. That was a lie, unethical! I was trying to make arrangements and just needed a little more time. But I guess you can judge when you're perfect, right?!

And of course

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 09, 2015

And of course you were making all of your payments on-time and for the full amount..right?

No?

Well then you must have been in constant contact with them before they reposessed it where you were able to make arrangements to catch up..right?

No?

Then even though you say they haven't attempted any form of contact since the reposessed the vehicle, you somehow know they are making unreasonable demands to get your car back.

Yea..thought so.  Before you start calling people unethical perhaps you should look at your own actions.
