Prime One Financial AKA Prime One Benefits tried to rip me off did my HOMEWORK! Thanks Ripoff Report Toronto Ontario

Hey I would like to thank all of you here at ripoff report for maybe saving me $187.00. A couple days ago I was getting a few calls from a 416 number which when I checked on the web that area code is Toronto. I tried calling back but it always was busy or just rang and rang with no answer.

well at work yesterday about 10:45 I got another call and this time I picked up....some guy (I forgot his name), calling saying he could get me a mastercard with a $1000 dollar limit for only a membership fee of $187. This sounded appealing to me since im 21 yrs old and had messed up a credit card when i was 18 and a freshman in college and wanted to start building good credit history.

However, I have a very good "if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is" sense that kicks in and I started asking him questions. What other fees are involved. Is there no annual fee? does the APR go up under certain circumstances etc etc? He sounded fishy, not too comfortable answering my questions, stuttering a couple times and seeming like he just wanted to cut to the chase, kind of a "do you want the deal or not" kind of attitude.

So, now skeptical , I told him I was busy and to call me at my work number at 11:15 (somehow they got my cell number also made me suspicious)....I asked him if they had a website and if he could give me the adress....he said ok primeonebenefits.com. I go on the web (i have a desk job) and type in the addy and nothing comes up. I get even more suspicious and go to msn search engine and type in prime one benefits and first link on the page is to ripoffreports.com where i start reading alll these horror stories.

The guy calls me back at 11:15 and i said "im not interested. I typed your name in a search engine on the net and came across horror stories of people you guys supposedly ripped off."

I am NOT JOKING WITH YOU when i tell you this grown man on the phone said "uhhhh" and then HUNG UP!!

i am so grateful for this website and for all you people who took the time to post your reports. I imagine you have saved many people 187 dollars or more. I hope u get ur money back I hope you sue the pants off this company.

ONE NICE REVENGE YOU HAVE GOTTEN IS YOU HAVE PROBABLY COSTS THESE PEOPLE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BC WHEN THERE COMPANY NAME GETS TYPED IN A SEARCH ENGINE THIS IS WHAT COMES UP .....and then the company loses out on sumone elses money. I wasnt going to go for it ne way bc the guy sounded so fishy I would never have given my bank info out like that.

everyone let this be a lesson- if it sounds too good to be true IT PROBABLY IS! and also "ALWAYS DO YOUR HW" and dont give your bank info out over the phone unless you know and trust the comany.
