I made the mistake of buying a Zimmer car off them on Ebay. Late 2012
The car looked fantastic in the photos. It was listed as a 5.0 litre which I questioned several times to which the replay was "I will give you the car if it is not" yeah right. Steve spouted how he was a technichian and all that and he knows. Well, there are obvious differences, 4 barrel carb against 2, aluminum valve covers.
I had the car shipped to Los Angeles at a cost of $1850 to ship to Australia.
The battery was dead when it arrived. They lied that they had put a new one in the car. NOPE.
Turns out, the engine is a 4.2 litre not 5.0.
The paint it totally shot on this car. Chipped, scratched, humidity blisters, crazed etc etc.
The cars need to be stripped right back and repainted
I took photos and sent thru and all I got was, "I can't see anything wrong with it!" Well.... looking on a phone you wouldn't.
This car too, had been painted underneath. The rear suspension bushes were shot at 15,000 miles.
The rear main seal spat out in less than 100 miles.
The fibreglass hood catch is shot.
Top of the chrome grill is rusty.
Lies lies and more lies is waht you get.
He left feedback on Ebay that I tried to extort money and that the car was at the port. More lies
Yes it was at the shippers where I saw it in Los Angeles.
Took out and Ebay appeal and failed.
I did harass Steve for months and eventually got $2,000 back from him.
Considering the paint will be around $6000 - $7000, hmmmm
BEWARE, SEE THE CAR BEFORE YOU BUY, or better yet, don't

Folks, here is yet another reason to not buy a car you hae never seen or driven. It just amazes me everytime I see people sending money for a car sight unseen.
A used car is always a pig-in-a-poke even if you buy it local and see and drive it. To do neither is just asking for problems.
Fly or drive to see it and if it's expensive enough, take a mechanic along with you. At least then you have a fighting chance.
