 In the year 2005, we contacted Protection One and requested cancellation of our security system that had been knocked out by Hurricane Ivan. They informed us we had a 5 year contract. At the time of installation in pre-Ivan 2004, it was not known by the owner of Good Time Tours that there was a 5 year contract. In any case, when we tried to cancel our service, the agreement was retrieved and there it was, in print so small it could not be read without a magnifying glass (reading glasses were not sufficient to read the stipulations), the contract could not be canceled until the five years was up. So naturally, she could not have been able to read what she was signing.
 
 Not only could you not cancel for 5 years, you could not do it over the phone. You have to write to an address you can only find on the internet and then you have to wait for someone to call you back and argue with about canceling your account, and then you can only do this in a 2 week time period once a year. So we paid our bill as per the contract until the 5 years was completed.
 After numerous, useless, phone conversations and two unheeded letters requesting cancellation we are now being hounded by debt collectors. This is our reward for honoring our 5 year contract.
 Needless to say, Good Time Tours will never do business with these charlatans again and will go out of our way to warn others of their underhanded tactics.
