 I purchased a PSE TAC 15 crossbow a few years ago and have several serious issues with it. In my opinion they are unsafe to use as mine is dangerous! After tuning it per the directions to sight it in for a special draw hunt, I got to the hunt a day early and had some free time, while practicing with the crossbow, it violently came apart while cocking it, this caused me to completely miss my hunt! Sure they fixed the bow under warranty, but that didn't make the bow safer to use and it.was too late for the hunt I had bought it for! I then I had shoulder surgeries and got cancer and didn't use it for a couple years. After healing up, I used it several times this year and you guessed it, it broke again! I went to the local authorized PSE dealer and found out my bow was discontinued and asked them why and they said, "they were discontinued for safety and dependability reasons!" The reason it broke this time, a pin came out inside the holding mechanism! The pin came out while I was uncocking it and had just removed the arrow! It could have broke my hand at the least and killed me or someone else had that pin came out while hunting! Why wouldn't they tell users about these problems and why have they not given people back people their money for these bows? Why hasn't our government done something? I am afraid to use this bow now and calling the phone number isn't helping as it isn't working! And the warranty, both times I have had to take the bow in for repairs, after hardly any use, the dealer wants either postage or labor for fixing this bow! I could sell this bow for half or less than what I have in it, and possibly get someone else hurt or killed, or have the company make this right! I am choosing the high road and just hope that PSE and Ripoffrepert.com makes them buy it back and makes this right. And yes, I registered the bow with the company, they would not do warranty work without that. Please do not buy PSE products until they resolve this issue, we consumers have to stick together siince our gov't will not help its citizens and some companies will not go by established sales laws and regulations on products being safe and fit for purpose!
