Publishers sweepstakes entry center...Just read a report dated in January, 2015 about a company that sounds like the one I just finished jumping through hoops with.  I could not believe what I had to go through to cancel my order, yes even though I agreed (through taped confirmation), to try thier magazine orders.  Even when I tried to stop the whold deal and hung up on them, this guy called back and said my credit card order had already been processed, (I was told it would not be processed until after I said the final "YES". He tried to convince me I had misunderstood and knew I was agreeing to this offer: $250.00 gift card, entry into a great one million dollar prize and so much more.  All I had to do was agree to pay $29.90 a month for 29 months...What?  I kept saying "no" but he said it was too late because I had already given him my OK and my credit card info, (which he said was only for verification purposes).  Naive? you bet but he kept sweetening the deal and telling me I could cancel with the individual magazines once the process had been completed.

OK, so after talking to 6 different people and knowing I had the legal right to cancel ANY transaction within 3 business days, I called the customer service number.  Well surprise, he could not find my account because it had not been processed yet but the preliminary charge had already shown up on my American Express card.  I called them too to have them flag this prior to authorization.  I finally called the REAL customer service number:(1-800-423-2563) and after she tried to lower my monthly payment and tried to say she could not stop the process either, I said "I WANT TO STOP THIS NIGHTMARE NOW AND GET TOTAL REIMBURSEMENT!!!"  She finally said "well yes, we can stop the whole order, we were just trying to work with you"...Bull S___!.  She said allow 3-5 business day to get a full refund on the $29.90 charged to my American Express card.  OH MY, a miracle!!!

Just make sure you write down everyone's name and employee number you are talking to.  Do not take "NO" for an answer...Know your rights.  EVERY transaction from cars to purchasing homes, etc has a legal 3 day cancellation policy.  Every ONE !!!. Moral of story, If it does not "feel right", don't do it.  Listen to your inner voice and save yourselves the anguish I have just been through...get NUMBERS, especially customer service numbers.

Good luck, Use the number above to cancel from this stupid A$S company.   Daun, Asheville North Carolina
