In January of 2014 my company decided to look at additional lead sources.  We contacted Buyerzone, a division of Purch Group, Inc.  They told us that they would provide us with as many leads as we wanted, but that we would have to pay 25.00 per lead, and that we could determine how many leads that we recieved, by putting on deposit, the amount (calculated at 25.00 per lead) on deposit, for a month.  Then every day we would get leads.  We were told that the leads would be shared with five other companies in our industry, and would be released within an hour of the inquiry.  These were both complete lies, and part of their scam.

In every case we were getting the leads from the day prior, so the prospect had already talked to multiple agencies, and were no longer a looking for an agency.  In addition, we were told regularly, by every lead, that they were getting calls from as many as ten other companies, not four, as our contract stipulated.  The leads were garbage, and the individuals who were speaking with us, about our concerns at Buyer Zone, namely Luke Callahan, were very aggressive.  He bullied the women in our office, when they would call to complain.  I personally called to tell him to cool it, and he told me to go f*** myself.

So, I fired him.  He tried to rip me off of the deposit that was on file, and made so many disparaging comments about the company, the women he had spoken to, and me, that I have finally decided to report the entire organization.  This is how they treat everyone, from what we are told by clients.  Please publish this information, so that other companies are not ripped off by these scam artists.

Not a fit for everyone

AUTHOR: Dom - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, November 12, 2016

BuyerZone has many long term clients that realize a strong return on investment from our internet leads. Companies like ADP, Caterpillar, Toyota and many more have been using the service for ten + years. Efficient outbound sales capabilities is required to succeed.

Even though we try to set realistic expectations and select clients that are a good fit it doesn't always work out. Our intial trial period of 90 days is to determine if we have a mutual fit. If we don't have a fit both sides move on but the client is responsible for the cost of the leads that they received over the trial period.

It is a shared lead service so leads do go out to multiple sellers electronically at the same time. Prompt follow up is the key to success. Some sellers aggresively call prospects multiple times during the day. This response volume makes the buyer feel like they're being contacted by an overwhelming amount of sellers when in actuality it's 2-5 sellers making their pitch.

Lastly some folks think have unrealistic expectations. The BuyerZone leads are part of an overall marketing strategy. The leads will not turn your business into the marketplace leader or save your company from bankruptcy. If your company follows up on the leads effectivley and has a compelling value proposition you will see incrimental sales generated by the leads.

Thank you,

Dominic
