I received a letter from these mofos about an old credit card account that was discharged in bankruptcy in 1992. They list the amount due as $5,236.59 but will accept $1,309.15 to settle the account. They even acknowledge that because the debt is so old, they won't sue and won't report it to any credit reporting agency. Why are these dirtbags even bothering to send me a letter? I refuse to pay any debts that were discharged in bankruptcy.

I received another dunning letter from AlliedInterstate who is trying to collect on behalf of PYOD LLC. This letter states they will settle the account for $528.79 which is about 10% of the original amount of $5287.93. I refuse to pay because this debt was discharged in bankruptcy in 1992. PYOD LLC has also used Northland Group earlier this year to try to collect this same debt. I ignored those letters and I plan to ignore this latest attempt as well.
